Quick Tuesday!

Hey Everyone!

Last night I was gearing up to pull out a ton of weeds, and other plants along the side of my garage, but plans changed. My wife text me and asked if we could hang out in our little inflatable pool, and that sounded like a better idea. 😉

Later we cooked out on the grill. Everything tastes better on the grill, we all know that. We had some hot sausage with peppers and onions. If you were wondering, yes it was delicious.

I have made some headway on my side technology project with that other company. I was able to get a hold of the manufacture of the machine and obtained the manual. I know now how to test the addressing and can get that thing up and running for them. I asked when I could come back to tinker with it and they said they are making me a key to come and go as I please. That will be nice, since I don’t work well with people looking over my shoulder. I hope to have it up and running this next time, which should be attainable, unless something else pops up as well. I would also like to map that part of their network out a little bit, so I know what is up in the future.

I have a few other things going on today that are keeping this post shorter. :/ I have to go meet a plumber any second now to fix my darn toilet….DOH!

I hope to see you all again tomorrow! 😀 😀

Getting Back To Normal!

Hey Everyone!

Today, and partly yesterday, we have been trying to get everything back to ‘normal.’ We had been gone for a week. We were two time zones away, eating, and sleeping was all out of wack.

At least for me, I have had two great nights of sleep since we have returned. We are still sleeping on a futon mattress in the Everett’s room to get him used to his crib, but better sleep still! I finally woke up today feeling somewhat rested, after I got moving a bit.

We have had to catch up on our mail, our cleaning, laundry, dishes, yard, and a variety of other things. I have taken care of a few bills, and have caught up on my work emails as well. It has been just one giant game of catch up, but I think I’m winning. haha.

We have also had to reintroduce Everett, to better eating habits, and back into his daycare setting, this since he was only there a week and then we left. It is taking him some time but he will be back in the swing of things soon. Speaking of Everett he had his one year check up and did pretty ok. He is just at the bottom of the growth curve for height and head circumference. His weight on the other hand is not great at all. He lost weight since his last check up. He still only weighs 18lbs! We have tried just about everything we could, so we are now trying to supplement him with some Pediasure, if he likes it. He is getting whole milk and real food, but I think the problem is with the fact he still doesn’t have any teeth. :/ I think once a couple come in he can really tear into some good protein and what not. I’ll keep you updated.

In other news, I have some of those photos from our stop in Nebraska! Enjoy:

A very big thank you to Anna Mostek Photography for these wonderful pictures! You can check her page out at the link above. 😀 😀 She did a great job we are loving these!

That is all I have for today I hope you have a great day and I’ll see you all again tomorrow! 😀 😀

May 1st!

Hey Everyone!

I don’t have too much for today, so we can just enjoy the fact that it is now May! Hopefully most of us are having better weather now and that will stick with us throughout the ensuing summer.

This is a big month for us as a family now. Everett’s birthday is in May. Mother’s Day is in May, Our dating and wedding anniversaries are also in May. So it is safe to assume that May will be full of friends, family, and good times. This May is special more so because it will be Everett’s first birthday. We are pretty excited and sad at the same time about that one. We are going to have a party for him and invite our family and friends, for a nice time. We are also going on a nice vacation in May. We are heading to Colorado! We are taking the cheap route of driving a small vehicle, and staying with family. It will be awesome, I really can’t wait much longer for that. I’m not sure what we will do there so if you have any suggestions feel free to throw them my way?!?

On another note I was able to finish hand painting the inside part of our back landing. This means I’m good to use the paint sprayer again and not worry about painting the house haha. I hope to maybe get some of that done tonight, as well as find out if I’ll need a bit more paint. Once the painting gets done I’ll have to get my dad’s power washer and spray down the garage and out back deck since we are having people over. We have done a bunch of yard work in the past 2 years and haven’t cleaned that area yet, so it just has some dirt and what not over it.

That is about it. That is our month in a nut shell. I hope you are planning some cool things for this summer. I’ll talk to you all again tomorrow! 😀 😀

Motivated & Busy Weekend!

Hey Everyone!

I made it to work today! I really wasn’t sure if I would. I was debating about sending my boss that e-mail at 9pm saying that I wouldn’t be there. I decided to take some NyQuil and sleep on it. I woke up again still feeling crappy but I didn’t have a sore throat or anything so it didn’t get worse. I figured I’d give it another shot. So, here I am.

I actually got really motivated after I got home last night. I didn’t take any pictures because I was still really out of it, but I weeded my flower beds. Well, some of them. I have a bunch, so I was only able to do the front yard ones that people will see. I noticed that I had some flowers already poking up and figured if I don’t clean these up now it will be harder to do later. I grabbed my rake, gloves and hedge trimmers and took two car loads of yard scrap to my parents house. I dumped it all over the bank by the creek. It was a bit windy and only about 45 degrees but it was sunny and it felt good to be outside for a bit. It probably didn’t help my sinus issue any haha, but It boosted my moral. 😀 It will be nice to see the flowers and things again, after a long winter.

My head is still pounding and my nose is still running like a leaky faucet. I hope I am able to get over whatever this is before the weekend. I have plenty of things going on that I don’t want to miss. If Everett is feeling better, which he should be, he will have his first swim class. We have a baby shower Saturday as well. After that we are going to celebrate Easter with my wife’s family. On Easter we are going out to my one aunt’s house for a large family lunch. We have been doing it for years, and it gets us out and about.

That is about all for me today, I hope you all have a great day. I’ll see you again tomorrow! 😀 😀

Cable Work, Birthday, Home Coming!

Hey Everyone!

It has been a nice slow day here at work. In a way I enjoy it and in a way it makes the day drag on.

Tomorrow will be a different day. I have 30 patch cables that need ends. That means 60 ends total, possibly more. We are cleaning up our server setup so it no longer looks like a rat’s nest from the switch dying. Again most likely tomorrow we will work on the new set up for the conference room on the second floor. We have 4K TVs and all sorts of goodies going into that room.  This should keep us quite busy for a little while.

I was unable to mow the lawn last night due to my wife getting out of work a bit late. I wasn’t able to watch the baby and mow haha. I am hoping that she will be home before me today so I can get right to it. It isn’t fun to cut grass when it it over 80 degree and humid, from all the hurricane rain leftovers. But, it must get done, so I’ll do it!

Friday is also the day my mother was born all those years ago! 😀 😀 haha Jokes aside we are going to all go eat at a place of her choosing. That is a tradition in my family since as long as I can remember. Fingers crossed that my baby will behave haha.

I was able to book my hotel for my universities home coming events. We go back most every year to see friends and watch the parade and what not. We met in college and we love the town the university is in. If we had it our way we would live there. Thankfully we are only about an hour and a half away, and can visit when ever we want. There may be pipe dreams of the future of buying a lake house out there but we will have to wait and see if that ever becomes a reality.

That is everything from me today, I hope you are enjoying your week day slide into the weekend! I’ll see you all back again tomorrow! 😀 😀

Time For The Weekend!

Hey Everyone!

Friday is here and I couldn’t want it more!

I have to stop at the back after work today to drop off local tax documents. Let me tell you, they scared the crap out of me when they came in the mail. All we received were a couple papers saying that we owed almost $2,000! I was freaking out most of that night. I got it all figured out the next day, when I called the bank. I just have to drop it off for people in the Escrow part of the bank.

Once I get done at the bank, I’m meeting up with my mom. It seems that she is taking me “back to school shopping’ haha. Since I have lost almost 50 pounds over the course of the last 6 months, nothing fits me. My work pants have holes, my shoes are falling apart, and my shirts have me swimming. She told me that we are going to get new clothes haha. I’ll gladly take her up on that. I have no problem getting clothes on my own I just can’t ever justify getting things for myself when I have a family to care for. I would wear rags all day every day if I wasn’t financially comfortable enough to get my own stuff. that is the reason I hold off on clothes, haircuts, and buying my own car. I fear that if I go to far I won’t be able to get out of a hole. I know most of that is very irrational but it always freaks me out. We will probably just hit up a Walmart and get what we can on the cheap, since shes buying.

I also need to stop off at the local Tractor Supply to pick up some more dog food, and treats! With me leaving in the middle of next week I have to make sure we are stocked up for the lady that will, potentially, be watching our pets while we are away.

Yesterday I was able to beat the rain and finally mow my grass after about a week. Living in the city there are specific guidelines for how tall your grass can be. I’m sure I wasn’t that close but it was taller than I would have liked it to be. I love mowing, weed whacking, and edging my yard. It is peaceful for me and gets me out of my own head for a short time.

The rest of this weekends events are unknown to me. I’ll be going with the flow. We have some house work that needs done, and maybe we will find a way to get out and about, at some point.

I have been binge watching Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” I am most of the way through the 3rd season. Netflix show that there are four. I am a huge fan of the Marvel movies and shows. I really like it so far, and hope they don’t ruin it in whatever end it comes to.

That is all I have for my random thoughts Friday post haha. I”ll be back on Monday with a weekend recap, and hope to see you then! 😀 😀

Getting Excited For The Weekend!

Hey Everyone!

Last night was a fairly lazy one. The wife and I went to Taco Bell for dinner and brought it home. We also started watching Fuller House, even though we both really didn’t want to haha.

We weren’t sure we wanted to watch a bad reunion show that would be drug out too long. that being said we started watching anyway lol. It is a neat show and they incorporate things from the original series often. It is 100% cheesy, corny, what have you. But in a way it is cute and still really neat. I am glad they could get most of the cast back together, you don’t see that very often. They even call out the Olsen twins when they can about not signing up to be on the show.

Throughout the night my wife and I cleaned up around the house and put some of our crap away. Things have started to pile up lately, probably from living out of out living room. I was able to clear the dining room table so that you could actually see it! haha.

I am really excited for this weekend, even though I know it will fly by. I can’t wait to head to a wedding, play ball, go to the fireworks and celebrate the 4th! I’m pretty sure we are going kayak/canoeing with my brother and his wife. We are going to go to the Kinzua Dam and go down the Allegheny River. We haven’t been on the river at all this spring/summer so I’m ready to go!

We had another retirement lunch at work today for a guy in the shop. Which means, you guessed it, free lunch! Woo, can’t beat that. We had fried chicken, three bean salad, potato salad, veggies, fruit, and cake! It is a great day when you get free lunch haha.

The rest of the day will be pretty boring. I have to go home and mow my grass, and possibly go for a walk with the dog and the baby. I’m just plugging away waiting for Friday!

That’s all for me! I’ll be seeing you again tomorrow! 😀 😀

The Wednesday Show

Hey There!

I got to work 45 minutes early today. We shift change after daylight savings and I’m not used to it yet. We don’t have to be to work until 8 am and I get here super early everyday. Today I was greeted by our receptionist with a “Why isn’t my comp…Oh sorry good morning!” It made me laugh a bit, she is about 1000 years old and really nice. Her PC wouldn’t startup for her and really with no reason. I restarted it and it worked fine. I got up to my office and check my only voicemail. A guy in the shot was also having issues with his screen blacking out and freezing. I guess it has been going on for a couple months, and he never said a word. I changed a few power settings, and appearance settings, as well as updated his video driver. So far so good. I haven’t heard from him all day. I hope that did the trick. The rest of the day has been pretty calm.

I have been able to check back into Twitch.tv and watch my main man TimtheTatman. He is from Syracuse, NY and is very entertaining. It helps that he is good as well. He used to stream CS:GO but has been mainly been streaming Overwatch since it came out. When he streamed CS:GO he play with Hiko a ton. I wasn’t able to meet him in Columbus, OH when I went to the major due to time constraints. He does what I would love to do, but don’t have the time for. I’m not sure of how much money he makes but its good stuff, and he more importantly makes a living doing what he loves. He usually has two streams, one in the morning for his early US fans and late UK fans, and another one for late US fans and early UK fans. Anyway since I raved about him here is a link to his channel: http://www.twitch.tv/timthetatman .

Today is the day that I should be getting the closing disclosure for our house, this will let me know the final dollar amount that we owe. Once this is done I will know how much we can spend on a fence. I have a guy from Lowes coming Saturday at 9 am to survey and measure the yard and give us a free estimate on what it would cost to have them install a wooden fence around the yard. I hope it isn’t too much of a pain in the ass. I could put one up alone with the help of my dad and brother but then I would have to treat and paint the wood myself and I’d rather not do that. I also want the posts to go in the ground correctly and be held in place. Both my parent’s and brother’s fences lean and need fixed often and that is something I would like to avoid.

I hope you all have a great hump day, and I’ll see you back here tomorrow! 😀 😀
