Monday Photo Dump!

Hey Everyone!

Welcome to the start of the week! We did quite a bit this weekend. Friday we went to Pizza Hut with my parents for dinner and Everett was being a normal goofball.

Saturday morning we headed back to the cabin. We are hoping to have the beds in before the start of the hunting season. We added stairs to the front and added boards to the ceiling. Some of the wall pieces are missing, because they are all pieces we have to cut to a custom size.

This area will be the bed room, with bunks on the right and left.

This next one is looking from the kitchen area to the bedroom. We have that half wall up to divide the room.

While I was at camp my wife’s two friends came into town. One of them has a little three month old. We got ready and went to the county fair for a few hours.

Next is a must have golf cart. Just sayin. 😀

Towards the end we lowered Everett’s stroller and he passed right out!

Sunday we went out to visit my wife’s dad. He has been in a nursing home for a little bit now. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a while ago and can no longer live on his own. It is pretty sad because he isn’t very old. He remembers us and Everett and loves holding him.

22

We were able to meet with his wife and their kid Remi and take him to the courtyard. The kids ran around like crazy.

The lady in the wheelchair is Lois. She has sort of been watching over my wife’s dad while people aren’t around. She came out with us and loved seeing the boys.

Everett and Uncle Remi are playing here with some cars on the little bench.

Later to round out the day and make the most out of it we met with her grandparents and brother’s family for lunch. It was at a very nice golf course in the area. They have great food and service.

If you have your volume on you can hear Everett slurp up his noodles haha. if you look close you can even see his top teeth! 😀 😀

Once we got home, we got in our comfy clothes and watched some New Girl. Everett has been looking though his legs so my wife was doing it too and he was laughing hysterically.

That was our weekend! We did a lot and it was, like always, worth it. I hope you had a great weekend too! I’ll see you all again tomorrow! 😀 😀

Successful Weekend!

Hey Everyone!

We had another very successful weekend visiting family. We traveled a bit and visit my wife’s dad and his family.

Before we left, my parents also came back from an early weekend trip to see Tim Tebow play in the AA league! They sat right behind first base and their dugout. It is always neat to see someone in action that was once at the top level of any sport. If you didn’t know he was a great college QB (football) and was drafted by the Denver Broncos where he on;y had a small impact. He is now playing baseball and enjoying that. Here he can be seen stretching out that hamstring haha.

We went shopping first to find outfits for that photo shoot we are doing later in May. Once we were done with that we met at her dad’s house. Here you can see that Everett is very interested in what his Uncle Remi is doing on the cell phone.

We attempted to get a couple family pictures, but the weather was not cooperating. It was freesing cold and starting to sleet. That combo with two small children was a no go. We tried it, but it really didn’t work haha.

Once we ditched that idea we sat down for some homemade dinner. It was great! We had a nice Cesar salad with a baked pasta dish. Here you can see Everett trying to eat food or the big fork haha.

We finished Saturday up with my wife getting highlights in her hair, compliments of her mother in-law.We stayed up later than we should have and didn’t get to bed until about midnight. Which may not see like a lot, but when your average bed time has become 9pm you are really draggin ass the next morning haha.

Sunday morning came all to quickly, and our boy can testify to that haha. Even though he did sleep for a while we was still tired, and fell a sleep on me and his grandpa.

Once we got up and had some breakfast and coffee we all got our hair cut. Literally everyone except the hair dresser herself got their hair cut lol.

So here is Everett sporting his new do! Gah he is handsome..

We hung out at the house most of the day and once it got nice out we headed to the porch. It was one of those days where it feels good to be in the sun and the breeze was just a nice way to keep the balance.

After we left we stopped to get some ice cream for the ride home and off we went.

Once we were home and mostly unpacked I got a strong urge to do stuff. Don’t ask me why! I got all the yard stuff out and cut the grass, ran the weed whacker, and blew away the clippings. I then started to hand paint some of the hard to reach areas of our fence, and then shop-vac’s up the leaves on our patio. It was a lot to do in a short time, but all is well that ends well.

Today I am back at work and getting in the swing of things.

I hope you all had a great weekend, and I’ll see you again tomorrow! 😀 😀

Fairly Successful Night!

Hey Everyone!

It was cold and windy last night as the tick or treaters trickled in. Tick or treating in our area is only two hours long, and usually a little more busy than last night. My finally tally was only 52 kids that came to our porch. Don’t believe me?

I mean I figure you did believe me but what the heck, post it anyway. I am assuming that it was a combination of bad-ish weather and the increasing number of families doing trunk or treat. For those of you that may not know what that is, it is when you fill a parking lot with cars and dress up and let kids go around to each trunk and get candy that way. Some people feel this is safer than just being out on the street at dark, and maybe it is. I was able to snap a picture of our porch set up before I completely forgot too lol.

Unfortunately the candle had just burnt out of our “E” jack-o-lantern. I stayed out there for the whole two hours passing out candy to the kids. I was pretty frozen to the core as I believe that it fell to about 35 degrees Fahrenheit. We had some last minute ideas on what we could quickly dress up as for a few pictures, as we did not plan anything and didn’t get anything for Everett. My wife suggested that we dress up in football jerseys and put Everett in some football stuff he got for winter time haha. It worked better than expected.

He makes for a giant football, but was way too small for that snow suit haha. Still cute though! Not bad for a last second idea. Oooh I almost forgot, my mom dresses up each year for her work party, and this year she was a blind football ref. This was totally unplanned I had to let you know. My dad was a real football ref so she already had all the stuff, but it fit in so well that we needed another photo.

After everything was said and done I was tired and I guess Everett was too. I needed to warm up and he was my blanket haha.

I think I just fed him and next thing I know I passed out haha. I say that makes for a night well spent!

I hope you all have a good night, and were safe if you went out and did anything! I’ll see you all again tomorrow! 😀 😀
