Now Who Is Busy?!?

Hey Everyone!

It has been a slow two days here. Work has been slow going, which means a lot of sitting around. I have been able to improve on some documentation for my boss, which is nice. We should be having our yearly reviews this month, so fingers crossed I am still doing well in his eyes. With any luck I can find out about a raise or what I can do to get one. With the pinch we are in money wise, any thing would be a nice break. Everett is young now and doesn’t need much, but when he gets a bit older everything will cost something, and right now we can’t afford anything else. I hope to be able to move to the next level here in a couple of years when my boss retires, that should come with a nice pay increase. Anyway, doing some visible work is always a plus. So much of what I do is behind the scenes that we become a department overlooked in many ways. We are/should be one of the most valued and I know we don’t get what we deserve. It can be tough to deal with.

This next Monday we are going live with our new Pick, Pack, & Ship project. We have new label printers installed…….(Noon)

(2:48PM)Scratch that thought because it is gone. You will now notice that this post is a bit late. I have just been running around crazy trying to work on some port issues we encountered. So this day just got a whole lot more busy than previously stated. haha. We haven’t got it all sorted but I wanted to finish this off. This day will fly by now.

I hope you have a great Tuesday, and I’ll see you all again tomorrow! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

What A Day!

Hey Everyone!

Let me run down a recap of the rest of my Monday. I left work early to have enough time to gather my dog’s urine and take it to the Vet for further testing. She had a UTI and I wanted to make sure that it was all cleared up and that she was good to go! To be short, they called back and said she was all clear. Again I took her on the leash and slid a dinner plate under her haha. I scared her a little bit this time so she stopped going. I had to transfer the urine into a baggie because I didn’t have a different small container with a lid. It took some real skill to do all of this, I’m sure you can imagine haha.

I was all ready to head to the Vet and my wife had picked Everett up for his 9 month checkup. The timing was great. I was ready to go, and so was she. We grabbed Everett and headed out. We hit up the Vet first and then headed to his appointment. We made it there with about 30 seconds to spare. The called his name and back we went.

The appointment didn’t really go so well, unfortunately. :/ He only needed one shot, so that was good, but he seemed to be in rough shape other wise. He has another yeast infection on his bottom, and a double ear infection. This after he just got over the Flu. They gave us a referral to meet with an ear, nose, and throat doctor in Buffalo, for tubes. We have time to decide if he really needs them or not, but we may as well get the process started. After the appointment we had to grab some groceries. We hit up the local Wegmans and had some subs there, before shopping for food. That way we didn’t shop on an empty stomach. Everett was having the best time, because for the first time he was able to sit in the cart and see everything.

17-korea-unified-flag-olympics.w710.h473.jpg

He is still a bit tiny so we watched him closely but he did great. We finished grabbing groceries and headed home. Once we were back in town we had to pick up his two prescriptions at the local CVS. He needed stuff for his ears and cream for his baby butt.

By the time we really got home, it was about bead time. We unpacked, and put everything away, and that was that.

One thing I forgot to mention, was that Everett also bonked his head at daycare and had a nice bruise on his head. I just told her that he is now crawling and pulling himself up. I did all of this so that she would pay attention to him and make sure he wasn’t doing anything that was going to result in something like that. :/ I guess he pulled up on a toy and was bouncing around, while holding on to it. He fell forward and hit his face. He also got a bloody nose…DOH! I just wish they did a better job at watching him. Sadly there is nothing or no one in the area willing to watch kids this young. So again, our options are more than limited. I feel trapped a bit, because I have to have child care, but the care isn’t up to snuff. This then leads to us not feeling comfortable with him being there for safety reasons, but having no where to go.

We will see how today goes when I pick him up.

That is all from me today! I hope you are having a great Tuesday. I know I am taking some time to chill after yesterday’s all day affair haha.Β  I’ll see you all again tomorrow! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Busy Day Today!

Hey Everyone!

I have been super busy with work today, which is welcomed any time. Just a quick run down of things I’ve done will follow. I have corrected a couple networking errors, set up a Sales Department Kiosk PC, had a meeting with Purchasing about the transfer of one of their employees and the addition of a new one, set up a laptop for said transferring employee to use while training, helped set up a new printer in our other building, fielded a few tech help questions, and solidified the use of the new Debit/Credit form I created. Now if that is too large of a sentence, good! That was a ton of stuff all in the matter of a couple hours. It doesn’t end here either. When I get done writing this I’ll be off to finishΒ  setting up that printer for a few people, as well as creating another PC for the new employee coming Monday.

Last night my wife and I had a little discussion about the home situation. Her mother gave us some insight that, having one built or placed on the property by her grandparents is not out of the question. To me that is a good sign. We just have to voice the question out right and see where we land. He may straight up say no. He may straight up say yes. He maaayyy say yes with a stipulation that we build rather than place one down. He mayΒ  want to pick his own contractor, or have say in what is built (which we don’t want). there are still a bunch of unknowns but for now I like the fact that they just haven’t said no yet haha.

Everett has his 8 month checkup today right after work, so I’ll pick him up from day care and grab his mama, and be on our way. I am excited to see how a routine checkup goes there. Again we are at the new pediatrician, that we love so far. We have a few questions about his diaper rashes and what not but other than that it should be pretty straight forward.

I have finished season four of Game of Thrones, and still love it dearly. I will not spoil anything, just in case there are people new to the series, like I was. It is just amazing how they can keep the intensity up while having a great story line.

That is all for me today, I hope you have a great Tuesday! I’ll see you all again tomorrow! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Weekend Update!

Hey Everyone!

I was unable to have a “Coffee Talk” on Friday. We, very oddly enough, were busy at work on a a Friday morning.

That being said I had a productive work day, and a great weekend. Saturday we tried our best to get some good sleep in. We didn’t have anything to do until we left around noon. Of course we got up and played with the babe. We left around noon to go back to my wife’s hometown. We would spend the day with her grandparents. Before that though we stopped at her dad’s house. This was to of course see them, and to get Everett his very first hair cut. Yes it has only been 5 months, but he came out with a head full of hair and it had to happen.

Here is Everett sitting with his grandfather and uncle! I think this was right before he got his hair cut. I don’t have a great before and after picture but it was a big difference.

Here is him after the hair cut.

His neck line is now all shaped up, and his hair around his ears is all trimmed nicely. He looks like a real little man haha. So cute.

I also got to spend some time with my little brother in-law Remington! Hes a handful. I introduced him to being tossed in the air and after that he never left my side haha.

Again, back to spending the day with her grandparents. We left her dad’s and met her grandparents at Red Lobster. We ate a really nice dinner there and headed back to their house. Her grandfather makes wine, so I had to indulge. I don’t often get to really enjoy having a few drinks because we are always out with our boy, so it was nice to know we were in for the night and really have a few. Later that evening my wife’s brother and his family came over to see us. The real reason we were in town was for their son’s first birthday party, Sunday. We hung out with them and introduced Everett to him. It was cute, he is starting to walk on his own and looks like a little drunk guy.

My wife’s grandmother hurt her foot a while back and has it in a cast. She usually does everything around the house, including the cooking and cleaning. That next morning to help her out I made the breakfast for everyone and my wife helped clean around a bit. It was the least we could do. Afterwards we got ready for the birthday party.

Once we got to their barn, where they had the party, we showed Everett their goats!

20171105_130707

I’m not really sure what he thought about them haha. We currently live in the city, but if we ever get the chance to live out a bit further I would love to have chickens and goats!

This next picture is of the birthday boy himself! He didn’t destroy his cake the way other kids do, but he did enjoy himself and ate plenty of it.

20171105_142013

After they opened his gifts and had the cake we had to head home. Traveling with a baby is no joke! Just going all around with him all weekend was enough to make him fussy all last night. It is tough for him to get back in the swing of things after a weekend like that.Β  Once we were home we had clothes to wash, bottles to clean, and another birthday to celebrate!

That’s right, my dad’s birthday is technically today. We dropped all our crap at the door and headed back out to the buffet. Once we ate it was back to their house for some ice cream. It was very yummy! Then we finally got home for good. I gave Everett a bath and his hair naturally dries like this.

And that was our weekend!

I hope you all enjoyed yours as well. I’ll be seeing you again tomorrow! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Swamped!

Hey Everyone!

I didn’t forget to post yesterday, I literally didn’t have a free second. My co-worker is in Italy for three weeks, and I’m pretty sure everyone lost their crap yesterday lol. It was non-stop action and every time I thought I had a chance to quickly get something out I couldn’t.

This is all ok, I mean I am at work and what not. I just want to let you all know that the posts in these coming three weeks may be scattered. I can run you though some of what what was going on at work yesterday if you care to read haha.

I got to work and was hit by a few people at the damn door haha. I quickly helped them and got to my office. I was called by our Inventory office and brought down their replacement PC. I had everything up and running, and thought we were good. That was until they told me that they used this ‘other’ software. I tried for three hours to get it to work, only to have them eventually tell me that they did not use it. Soooo, no matter what I was going to try it wouldn’t have worked anyway lo. That was aggravating. That brought me to lunch, which I ate quickly and started working on the new Shipping department PC. Once getting so far on it I had to call our UPS rep and set a time for them to come in and help me integrate the old data to the new PC. that is happening tomorrow morning. Next on the list I had our main electric maintenance guy get a hold of me to help get outdoor readings from out thermometers. I’m pretty sure it was for the HVAC system but I’m not entirely sure haha.Β  I then re-wrote up some documentation, which had been re-worked a few times. Lastly I was asked to find a way to see who modified a certain file at a given time, which I couldn’t do for previous incidents, but I can do now. I added auditing to the directory on the server, so that in the future, I can see who modifies files in a certain folder.

Summing it up in a paragraph, may take away from how long that all took but it was non stop haha. I might be ale to squeeze a post ou later today, but I’m not sure yet. Thanks for reading and I’m sorry for no post yesterday! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Beauty And The Beast Thoughts & More

The acting was good, in my opinion. Josh Glad plays a good LeFou, even though they had to get political and push a sexual orientation agenda. Again in my opinion, if you are going to remake a classic follow the script.

Hey Everyone!

I am glad to see you all back again. This weekend was fairly eventful. As you know Friday I went to watch ‘Beauty and the Beast’ with my wife. Turns out the showing that we went to was in 3-D:

20170317_153813

I am not a fan of 3-D movies, but we were already there haha. The next showing wasn’t for three hours, and by then it would be a full house. We got in just fine and found our seats. Towards the middle but on the end, so my wife had easy access to the aisle. As far as the movie goes I was generally pleased. I figured I would be. Most of the story line was followed, which is good for a movie based on a classic. The acting was good, in my opinion. Josh Glad plays a good LeFou, even though they had to get political and push a sexual orientation agenda. Again in my opinion, if you are going to remake a classic follow the script. There is no need to add a bunch of things and change people, it became a classic for a reason. As for the special effects, outstanding! You would have to know that the majority of the movie is computer generated, you know like the whole castle, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, and the rest. It must have taken such a long time to get that all correct and they did a great job. I would absolutely that everyone go see it before it is out of theaters. If you like the Disney classics, you really won’t want to miss this live action movie!

Switching gears, my Saturday started out by taking more boxes over to my parent’s house. We have had so many items delivered to our house in such a short time that we had a million cardboard boxes. I went to burn the ones I still had, as shown here:

20170318_114809

The amount that I had was next to nothing compared to what my ddad still had in his garage from all of my other stuff! Check all that out:

20170318_114818

It was packed in every little spot. With my fresh batch of cardboard being gone quickly I decided to do it all. I was there for about two hours burning it all. We made sure to separate and throw away most of the plastic and Styrofoam. After that I went home and got ready for the game night we were going to host! We decided that we would set up a homemade sub bar, and let everyone make their own, even toast it up in the oven. My brother and soon to be sister in-law brought cupcakes from their wedding cake testing, and buffalo chicken dip. My wife and I had all the sub stuff and chocolate cookies, and my mom and dad brought drinks and Doritos. We played that Telestrations game we just bought and had a blast. Here is a quick picture that I took. There you can see my dad, mom, dog, brother, and my wife. The niece and soon to be sister in-law were in the other room.

20170318_195929

Sunday I picked up my brother to go to my company gym. I have been on a diet for a little over a week and have lost 12lbs by eating right, with minimal exercise. Contrary to what you thought I ate Saturday. I only had my sub and some wine. πŸ˜€ Anyway, I met up with him at 10am and hit the gym. I was able to run 2 miles and walk another. My legs today are still feelin the burn.

20170319_110136

If you are curious as to what my diet plan is I can gladly let you know! Contact me any way you would like. I have just been eating too unhealthy and gaining too much unwanted weight, so I’m doing something about it. All while still hating exercise haha. The rest of the day was spent with my wife, who didn’t feel very good. We watched about seven episodes of Shameless.

I hope you all had a great weekend like I did! I hope you have had a good time here today. I look forward to seeing you all again tomorrow. C-ya! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€
