Food Poisoning!

Hey Everyone!

So. Last week. Friday was awful.

My wife was sick and I wasn’t feeling well. That is about where we left it. About 10 minutes after I finished that post, I left work. I stopped at my mom’s house and snagged some Gatorade, per my wife’s request. About 30 minutes after I made it home I got pretty violently ill. My wife and I were in the same boat and couldn’t do anything, other than lay there and try not to die lol. We spoke about how it was no coincidence that we both had the same thing going on at the same time. We determined through process of elimination that we had food poisoning from old bacon! This is the first time bacon has ever let me down in life. Not pleased. 😡

We Started feeling better the next morning for the most part. We were dehydrated and hungry from not being able to keep anything down the day before. We were also scared to eat anything out of fear of getting sick again. We ended up being Ok for the most part. Saturday was spent re cooperating.

Sunday I had two softball games. One at 12:45pm and the other right after at 2:00pm. It started pouring down rain during the first one. It started Thundering during the second one, before clearing up and being humid as all hell. It was a long couple of games but we all played fairly well, and won both games. The only games we have lost this season were the games that I couldn’t attend, so I keep making the joke that I’m the chosen player and that they can’t win without me lol.I’ll use that until we lose. 😀

Since we still hadn’t eaten a real meal since Thursday night, we went out to Olive Garden for dinner. That got us back on track. Work is back on track this morning as well. I’m just glad we are both over everything now.

I hope you all had a great weekend and didn’t have food poisoning. XD Have a great Monday and I’ll be back again tomorrow! 😀 😀

Time For The Weekend!

Hey Everyone!

We are in the home stretch here! Labor day weekend is upon us.

Tonight is the clam before the storm. I was able to get the yard mowed yesterday. I’ve got it looking good. I ran through and grabbed a ton of weeds out of the garden and dropped them over the hill at my parent’s house. That leave tonight free, for anything. My wife and baby aren’t feeling the greatest so I doubt we will have much going on.

Saturday my dad is getting his old referee crew back together for a BBQ rib and college football party. There will be 10-14 people there having a good time. He is going to bring the TV outside so we can watch in style haha. I think it is all kicking off at noon, that should be enough time to sleep in, HA lies!, get the baby ready and have breakfast before heading over.

Sunday we are off yet again, to my wife’s dad’s house. He is having a pig roast. We haven’t seen much of that side of the family since the baby was born. Most of the people that will be there haven’t even met him yet. The food will be great, and so will the company. Hopefully the weather cooperates. Her dad and his girlfriend are getting married later this month.

Monday I have off and will be with the baby all day. My wife has to go to work sadly. It should be a nice relaxing day. I hope to get a few things done around the house.

If you are doing anything this weekend, let me know! I know some people go camping, some go boating.

I’ll be back Tuesday with an update on how it all went down. With any luck I’ll have a few good pictures to go along with it.:D 😀

Busy Work Day & 1 Month Old Baby!

Hey Everyone!

I have a short amount of time to post and I am late already. I have been swamped with work today and that is a good thing! I cam in at my normal time, and started setting up the new PCs I got in the mail a day or so ago. While doing that and running updates I got pulled away to help rearrange someones office. They need me there to make sure that everything gets unplugged correctly and plugged back in the right way. I was helping a fellow co-worker through my lunch break, with a parts list for a PC build for his kid. He has a son that has saved up enough money to buy his own gaming PC. He wants to surprise him and throw in a couple hundred dollars more, as a good gesture and reward, for managing his money so well. His son built a complete parts list and he gave it to me to look over and change since he added more money to the budget. I can say that I have spec-ed out a pretty good full size gaming rig for the budget of $1200. His kid will love it! Later this afternoon I have spent my time helping one of our summer design engineer inters with his issues. He is having problems with his Auto CAD and Inventor programs crashing. It has happened a few days in a row and twice today, so it was time to do something about it. I researched a few things and think I found a solution to his problem. I reverted his PC to use Direct X 9 instead of 11, deleted the junk out of his temp folder, updated is graphics driver while disabling the on board Intel one, and changed a series of variables within the programs themselves for better performance. I know this all sounds like gibberish to you guys but it was a fun day filled with technical issues that really got my brain moving!

In other news I am feeling much better, even though I never got any answers from the doctors I spoke with. I won’t be feeling good when my $150 bill from the ER comes through though :/ the weather here is crappy, and I can’t really do anything so I, will continue to take it easy. I mowed my grass yesterday when it was still nice out so that is a plus!

My baby boy Everett is officially 1 month old today! Dear god, they aren’t kidding when they say it fly’s by! I can’t imagine what I’ll think when he turns 18 and leaves haha. He is working on the sleep thing, and has been working out those neck muscles. We are still camped out in the living room because it is easier for my wife in the middle of the night.  That and my dog peed all over our mattress and ruined it! We aren’t very fond of her at this moment haha.

That’s all for me, I’m sorry this is jumbled and ran together. Please forgive me! I’ll be back tomorrow, and I hope to see you all then. 😀 😀
