Distracted Tuesday!

Hey Everyone!

I have been a bit distracted today. My boss is off with an illness and I need his input on a project. I am kind of dead in the water here, just a bit. I have done a few things here and there, little fires, but nothing crazy. I also have a few things I need to order, but they have to go through my boss, so why bother until he is back lol. 😀

I’m catching up on some World Cup news, while I wait. I’m still determined to root for Iceland until they are out haha. The ultimate underdog! I love sports that are overseas, because they are on at a reasonable time for me on the east coast. I hate when I try to watch a ball game, of other kinds, because they are most always further west and on super late for me. So I like this! 😀

Lets see. What is coming up for me. Oh, my brother is having a diaper party for my new niece arriving in August! We will also have some more softball this weekend. the next few weekends will be packed. We have a wedding, a birthday party, bridal shower, and a family reunion all packed in. It’ll be a bit hectic. I’ll try to have some pictures.

In some cool gaming news. I bought Conan Exiles a while back. It is a great game to play at your own pace and at your own difficulty. You are in well Conan the Barbarian times and level up and survive, all while completing quests and what not. Disclaimer there is anatomically correct bodies if you do have a child that wants to play it.  There is full nudity, if you don’t turn that off. There are ‘safe’ servers but you have to find them.I have been having a great time with the game. Here is a link to the Conan website!

I also bought House Flipper on Steam for $15.99. It is a part of the Steam summer sale, until the 5th of July I believe. Even my wife seemed to kind of like this one! 😀 If you have ever dreamt of being Chip and Joanna Gaines this is the game for you. You start small doing odd jobs for people while fixing up their places and your own. Then you can buy a house, flip it with your budget and sell it for profit. It is highly addicting and fun. At $15.99 it really is a steal.  My man Jon Sandman had the first video I saw!

That is all for me today! I hope you all have a great day! I’ll be back tomorrow, and hope to see you then. 😀 😀

Gender Reveal & Playground! (Pics & Vids)

Hey Everyone!

We had a pretty exciting weekend, with a lot going on. I’m proud to say that I took pictures and videos of all of it. Go me! Saturday morning my wife’s went out of town with friends and I took Everett to my brother and sister in-law’s gender reveal. They were announcing the gender of their second child, they already have one girl. It was out at a hunting camp in the woods. Here is Everett holding a pink balloon, I guess we know what his guess was! 😀 (Sorry it is a little blury but he was on the move)

Everett and his cousin Rory played on the floor while we waited for everyone else to arrive and eat.

Here is my brother holding Everett.

This one is a funny comparison. Everett, Rory and Pepper the 2 year old Great Dane haha 😀 😀 (Both of their Great Danes were there but I only caught the one)

On to the more exciting stuff! Here is the box my brother made to reveal the gender. Inside of this box was Tannerite, and on top of the Tannerite was a bag of colored powder. My brother’s goal was to shoot the Tannerite through the box and have it explode the color all over the place. (For those of you unaware of what Tannerite is you will soon find out.)

Here is the video I took. ( I set my phone on a chair and backed up haha, I wasn’t that close) (SOUND ON)

By now you know they are having another girl haha. Here are a few pictures I took after the reveal.

We set Rory up on the stump, she’s a cutie!

We finished the afternoon up there and had a relaxing evening at home, once my wife was back.

Sunday started like any other, lazy and sleepy. I was trying to get a few games in, before Everett woke from his nap but that didn’t last too long.

My wife had him downstairs after that and she sent me this picture haha, that hairdo! 😀

It was nearing 3:30pm and we were experiencing some cabin fever, so we decided to take a walk. It was about 43 degrees F, but the sun was shining.

We were going to walk our normal distance, but liked being out in the fresh air after being cooped up all winter. We took Everett, and our dog, about a mile down the road to the local playground. This was his first time at a play ground. He was able to enjoy his first time on a swing. 😀

This, of course, followed by his first time on a slide! 😀

He did enjoy both, but wasn’t sure what was going on at first. We had successfully had a play date at the playground!

About half way home again the poor little guy was all tuckerd out!

We stopped and saw my parents on the way home, since they live a city block away from us, and headed home. We had some home made burgers and beans for dinner and watched a little March Madness before going to bed. Overall it was a very pleasant weekend. We can’t wait to get outside with him more now that he is a little bigger.

That is all for me, I’ll see you all again tomorrow! 😀 😀

Weekend Travel!

Hey Everyone!

It’s Monday again, Blah! Other than that things are going pretty well. Our weekend was fairly successful. Saturday morning we got up and hurried to get ready. We left the house around 9am so that we could make our appointment at 11am with the modular home people. It was very overcast and rained most of the day but held off while we were walking through the lot of homes. We learned a ton of things from the sales rep, who was very nice by the way. We narrowed it down to the specific building company we liked and the styles we liked. Once we were done with the touring part we sat down in his office and went over more details and other floor plans.

With that done and over with we headed to her grandparent’s house for some lunch. My wife’s friend came over to see her as well, since we don’t make it back very often. You can see everyone on the floor playing with Everett.

Not a great picture, I know, but I have to be sneaky haha. No one I know other than my wife knows I even blog remember.

We were supposed to ask if her grandparents would help us by putting a house down for us on their land, and allow us to buy it once ours sold, but my wife never posed the question. That being said they are still all for us moving back. I spoke with her grandfather at some length about it. He just wants us to weigh all our options. Little does he know, we kind of have haha. If we had our way we would be back tomorrow. Most of the process would be determined by timing. We would either have a house to go to or not, we would sell fast or slow, I could find a job in a month or six, ya know what I mean? So once the ball gets rolling we would like to have as many constants as we can and knowing that we would have a place already would be awesome. I don’t know if that will happen or not.

Later that day we met with my wife’s friends for an early dinner. One of her girlfriends is getting deployed for the first time to Afghanistan. We surprised her at this local bar and had a nice time.

Sunday we stayed in for the most part, I went and grabbed some groceries, while my wife cleaned the house a bit. Everett was enjoying his ball pit.

This one is a week late but Everett is over 8 months old now and getting really fun to play with. He is still a little guy for his age as far as charts go but he will catch up just fine.

What a ham! Every time you point a camera at him he smiles right at it. His mom has him trained haha.

I was able to squeeze in some gaming time as well and I have reached my highest rank ever in Rocket League Solo play! In Solo Doubles you can see I’m Platinum II and in Solo Threes I am Platinum I for the first time. I’m pretty excited about this since I haven’t played as much as I normally do. It was a welcomed surprise.

That was my weekend! I hope you all had great ones as well. I’ll be back tomorrow, and I’ll see you then! 😀 😀

Coffee Talk!

Hey Everyone!

It is another fine Friday morning! I have a couple responsibilities this weekend but other than that it should be smooth sailing. My parents are going to a cemetery today to look for old relatives, since my dad is hardcore into genealogy. From there they are going to Carnegie where my mother’s mother was born (My grandmother haha) to see the area. She passed away years ago now. They will eventually make there way to a hotel in Pittsburgh where they are walking distance from Jerome Bettis’ restaurant “Bettis 36”, the “Tilted Kilt” bar, and the Andy Warhol museum. Sounds like fun to me! They don’t get out enough, even with us kids finally out of their house. I’m glad they are going.I will be watching their dogs and cats until Saturday night, so they have nothing to worry about. I’ll check on them after work, and go over before bed. In the morning I’ll head over and check in a couple times throughout the day. Good news is that they only live a city block away.

As for us, we are just going to relax as much as we can. I know the weather is supposed to get better and the snow will melt, again. That means no shoveling for me 😀 😀 On top of that I got that headset in the mail yesterday, and let me tell you! It is like having clouds around my ears. The quality is better than anything I have ever heard before. I mean I have had a series of gaming headsets like a ton. There are the only ones that have made my in game sounds 100% better. It is like playing a whole different game. They are equipped with 7.1 surround sound and an equalizer that has an esports mode. It takes out all the unnecessary noises and allows you to hear footsteps like a boss. Anyway I’ll stop raving about them now haha.

I’ll be starting season 2 of “Game of Thrones” sometime today. The first season has me hooked. ( I knew it would) My binging has commenced lol You’ll know where to find me for the next month lol.

That is it for me this week. I hope you all have a great weekend, and I’ll see you again Monday! 😀 😀

Some Things & Some Stuff

Hey Everyone!

This weekend was very pleasant. Friday was like any other. At work I was able to clean up our messy data closet in our second building. I don’t have any before photos, but it is much better trust me haha.

20180112_142919 20180112_143905

Saturday we had some snow to shovel off the sidewalks and I ran the snowblower up and down my driveway about an hour. I was able to hit the side walk of my two neighbors too. Not my terrible neighbor but the other two haha. We were going to go as a family to a wedding on my mom’s side of the family, but we had a small indecent. I was getting in some much needed gaming time and my wife was hanging out with Everett down stairs. He has gotten to the age where he can lunge and really play. He can hold himself up while sitting and can stand with help. That being said, he decided it would be a great idea to lunge straight off the couch. He fell flat on his face onto the floor. It sounds pretty terrible, but He just got a bruise and a bloody nose. He was happy shortly after. Here you can see his bruise setting in nicely.

Poor little guy! His mommy was shaken up pretty bad because she was there when it happened. I all I can do is reassure here there is nothing she could have done and that it wasn’t he fault in any way. Hes getting to be a fast, slippery little guy. He is dong just fine today. 😀

So needles to say, I went to the wedding alone. I met my parents there but it was at a fish and game club on a side road. It was pretty messy.

The wedding was a very redneck, laid back wedding. It was my mother’s second cousin, who was getting married. They made most of the food on the buffet line and it was a fun time. I made a plate and brought it home for my wife when I left. When my parents made it out they stopped over and saw Everett for a bit. They don’t see him very often because we take him with us all the time, so we find some time to let them come over and hang out.  The rest of the night was spent watching the terrible football games. I hate watching the Patriots win and hate watching the team that has the best chance of beating them lose all in the same day (Steelers) haha. Now the worst thing that could happen in the NFL right now is if the Patriots and Eagles both win. That would be a super bowl I wouldn’t even watch. The ideal game in my eyes would be the Steelers v. Vikings. Since that can no longer be true the next best game, in my eyes would be the Jags v. Vikings.

Sunday we a relaxing day I played some games, we went and got some pizza for lunch. We just lounged, and snuggled our baby all day. In the evening we watched the last half of the Vikings game, and pretty much just went to bed.

Today I am very busy at work, and I’m glad I could get this post out at all.

That was my weekend. I hope you all had a good one as well. 😀 I’ll see you all tomorrow.

This Half Week Better Fly By!

Hey Everyone!

I am getting very excited for this family reunion! I am having a really hard time concentrating at work today. As a small update from Friday, I went shopping with my mom and pretty much got a whole new working wardrobe! I went from an XL shirt to M, I went from 38 waist pants to about a 35, and picked up some shoes and socks as well. It was a huge relief to have that all taken care of. She even picked up the tab on my dog food, woo!

I think Saturday my wife and I tried our hand at homemade ice cream. We had received an ice cream maker as a wedding gift over two years ago and hadn’t found the time to use it. (We also have a popcorn maker I need to try 😉 ) Anyway, we gave it a shot with a simple peanut butter recipe my wife found online.

I don’t have the recipe handy, but it was simple. Mix the crap in a bowl: Check!

Pour it in this thing: Check!

Let it spin around for 30 minutes, and chop up your Reese’s: Check!

Put the Reese’s in for the last minute or two and you are good to go!

A little peanut butter goes a long way. This wasn’t over bearing at all but too much could really give you a tummy ache. I was pleased with how it turned out for our first try. We want to do it more often.

The rest of my weekend included playing a ton of video games, while my wife and son watched Harry Potter on the futon in the Office/Attic.

I mainly have been playing Rocket League and Rainbow Six: Siege. When I get mad at one I play the other, because they are total opposites haha. If I’m doing poorly in the one I’m better at the other. I am by far better at first person shooter games (FPS) than I am at driving around in a rocket car but I am competitive in each.

In Rocket League the ranks are like this:

They read as follows (any level) 1 being the worst 3 being the best, again with in that level. I am currently here:

To be in the middle of the pack I should be Gold three or Plat one, so I’m just under where I would like to be. It is hard in these low-ish ranks to find good, random team mates to rank up. I play solo games with two random other people on my team so it is hard to find decent people, in low ranks.

Rainbow Six rankings are the opposite, you’ll see what I mean. Here is how they rank:

Yikes that might be hard to see. In any bracket/level,  4 is the worst and 1 is the best. In this image the best of the best is the far left (Diamond) I am here:

As you can see I am above average in my rank here. I only need to advance 6 ranks to be diamond. That will absolutely not happen, but it is closer than in Rocket League haha. I don’t have the time to dedicate to rank up higher. I am much better with tactics and shooting games. It was fun getting to play some ranked games this weekend. I won’t be able to even be on a computer for the next week, which is welcomed.

I am hoping that everything until after work Wednesday fly’s by! I am ready for a vacation. I hope to see you all back again tomorrow! 😀 😀

Bohemian Rhapsody On The Ukulele?!?

Hey Everyone!

It was super rainy and cold yesterday. It could have been a nice evening to relax with some coffee, but I had some things to do. Right when I got home to gathered the things I needed to return to Lowes, and picked up a thin sheet of paneling for the back of the cubby storage. I was able to sand most of the edges to my liking, so they would be ready for staining whenever I have the time. Here is a quick picture of the back being weighted down to allow the glue to dry in the right spots, as well as the firewood rack.

Then my hands got super cold, kind of like they are right now! I’m nor sure why but my office is freezing. Anyway I was able to get in side and clean up. I slipped into some comfy clothes. I received my motherboard in the mail yesterday, or the day before, and needed to get it back in my case. Here is a shot of the motherboard being secured to the standoffs.

There was good and bad news about the whole thing though. As you can see in this picture I was able to get it up and running with Windows 7 Ultimate.

On the other hand it had no drivers and I didn’t have my factory CD with drivers on it. I tried loading them on to my flash drive and popping it in the USB ports….buuuuut I don’t have those drivers either haha. The only way I can get them installed is via the optical drive (CD drive). I had to come to work to do it because I don’t have anymore of them at home. I can tell you that I think I have them all, I just need to take them home and install them. The awful part will be installing all of the crap back on my drive. I had multiple games and programs. That is the way it goes though so I can’t be too annoyed. 😀

My night will be full trying to get everything back up and running well. If I do find any time I might think about re racking my Apple Jack, or playing my Ukulele. I have been trying to learn how to play Bohemian Rhapsody, by Queen. It sounds weird but it is super fun. Here take a look at, who I think is the best Uke player around, playing that exact song!! Awesome!

That will be what I leave you with today, I hope you take the time to watch that video. I’ll be back again Monday with an update from the weekend! C-ya then. 😀 😀

Slight Jumble

Good Morning/Afternoon/Night to you all!

Yesterday was very hectic with all the phone calls I had to make. It makes me nervous to transfer everything into my name for the first time. This home buying stuff is pretty intimidating. I’ll admit the people and agencies you deal with can really help you relax once you know they have done this a million times. I am usually scared of the unknown to a certain extent and this is a huge unknown. I think in the end everything will work out just fine. I trust that all of the work I have put in will pay off and everything will be in order. That is about as optimistic as one could be. Again we are closing on the 21st, less than a week from now. I still have a few things I need to inquire about but other than that it will be ‘smooth’ sailing.

Today at work, has been like most other days. I have two PCs to finish up and disperse this week, like normal. We have some exciting work ahead of us. Tomorrow is the big day, we get a brand new server. This will our first time working with virtual servers so it should be confusing and interesting. Today we did pull out an old server to make room in our existing rack. Also to make room for the guy coming to help with the installation we cleared out 10 + PCs for recycling. The only other real thing I want to get done today at work is to call the bank about home stuff. So, overall pretty chill.

My wife will be home a bit later than normal so I’ll pop in a pizza to move dinner along. I’ll get home and do the usual, feed the dog, cat, and humans lol. With any luck I’ll get a few rainbow 6 games in as well. Tonight the Flash is on the CW so we will be tuning into that at 8 pm Eastern Standard Time. Again pretty normal overall. We are mainly worried and anxious to get moving and hope that everything falls into place. Our biggest concern is getting a new refrigerator and putting up a fence asap for our dog.

Scattered move here, but I have been making pretty good headway on my Sojourner badge in Ingress. It is one of the hardest to get. You have to hack any one portal in consecutive 24 hour time periods. I am up to about 127 ish days. The next check point is 180 for Platinum, followed by 360 for Onyx. It is hardest to remember on the weekends when you just want to sleep in or go on a day trip. You really have to keep up on it and remember to hack with in the 24 hour time frame. I try to hack in the morning and evening just to get a good all around hack session going. That will allow me to hack anytime during the day on weekends and be just fine.

That’s all I’ll bore you with today! Have a great Tuesday and I’ll see you back here again tomorrow! 😀 😀

Another Slow Tuesday! (Vote)

Hey Everyone!

I got some gaming in last night with a few good friends. It is nice to play a bit and catch up with people. Since most of them live 3-14 hours away it is nice to have a digital means of reaching them.

Today at work, it has been slow. Not much going on anywhere here really. I remembered that we have Netflix and have been watching episodes of ‘Black Mirror’ It really makes you think. It Doesn’t seem to follow a story line or have connections between episodes, which is weird when coming from sitcoms. It takes a look at advanced technology and how there is a dark side to all of it. It shows how it can or could be exploited in different realities. IF you want something that will make you think this would be the show to watch. they are in their third season and have a total of 13 episodes. Each one is about 45 minutes long.

As you may know it is election day here in the United States, and we sure have put ourselves in a bad spot lol. It seems like the presidential race was a circus and that collectively we aren’t fond of either main candidate, yet didn’t do enough to stop it?!? How weird. This whole process has been one of the weirdest in history. I heard some one say that this will be an election that we base disastrous elections on as a standard, and they probably aren’t wrong. I voted this morning, and if you have educated yourself in anyway on the candidates I hope you take the time out of your day to do the same. I don’t believe in throwing away your vote so vote for who you want to win, and know that your vote does count. The only thing I don’t like is when people urge everyone, no matter what, to vote. That means that just because you are 18 years old here in the states that you should just go do it. That is soooo wrong. Without any knowledge of who is running and what they stand for you could do some damage. If collectively even 1/3 of the population is like that the whole election would be a crap shoot. Just educate yourself, form your own thoughts and opinions and go do the damn thing haha.

That’s all for now! I hope you have a great day and night. Feel free to comment with your opinions about the election here on this post. I’d love to hear what you have to offer. I’ll see you all again tomorrow! 😀 😀

Insert Title Here…

Hey Everyone!

Today has been pretty busy with my co-worker being in Florida. I have had a large number of small fires to put out around the shop and offices today. At this point in time things have come to a lull. Speaking of my co-worker though, he text me something interesting yesterday. He said he had a business proposition for me. At this point it could be anything, knowing him. He proceeded to tell me that the church that he and his family attends, which is also a catholic school, was large enough to warrant some IT support. He was going to possibly do it on the side, and would like to rope me in to do it with him. I think I like that idea. I worked in a high school tech building for a summer and really enjoyed it. I can only assume that they would want help with laptops and smart boards. They may even want some cable run throughout the building, who knows. But I can always use any extra money that I can get. It would be fun bottom line. He said he would tell me more about it when he comes back, which will be tomorrow. I’ll keep you updated.

With hunting season ever approaching, I can’t help but find myself watching videos about butchering your own venison. This is of course assuming that I get a deer this year. We normally take it to a local butcher, but he is old and has had a few major health problems since last year. On another downer note the guy my dad wanted to go to shot himself two days ago. So it is safe to say he won’t be doing it either. Enough about that bad stuff! I found a great You Tuber by the name of Scott Rea his channel can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCs_t4Om5siqqFtVGd639Z0Q . I don’t know about you but he isn’t the kind of person I would look at and think “He is a butcher.” He is however and hes damn good. If you want to butcher anything he would be the man to watch. Again I like his videos on deer since that is mostly what I hunt. I would love to do the work myself this year if I get the chance to. It seems like you can get more out of the animal if you do it your self. Less would go to waste which I love.

Last night I downloaded an app called ‘Animation Throwdown’ It is essentially a watered down Magic the gathering, and a closer rival to Hearth Stone . Except the cards are all Adult Swim-ish character related. They use shows like the Simpsons, family Guy, Futurama, Kill of the Hill, and American Dad. It is interesting to say the least. They have a few cool features, like being able to research combos for cards and playing different game modes. If you are into that style of play its worth a look. It will pass the time that’s for sure. I quickly added two game play videos of it on my YouTube channel that can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCng86RsvYqkXHOr4o53ClQg . And it was just recorded with my phone’s built in recording software so it isn’t the best but it does get the job done haha.

I guess I’ll quit rambling. Tonight we have our home inspection so fingers crossed. Tomorrow I have a district wide masonic practice at our home lodge, so that will be fun. I’ll see you all back here tomorrow! 😀 😀
