Monday Photo Dump!

Hey Everyone!

Welcome to the start of the week! We did quite a bit this weekend. Friday we went to Pizza Hut with my parents for dinner and Everett was being a normal goofball.

321

Saturday morning we headed back to the cabin. We are hoping to have the beds in before the start of the hunting season. We added stairs to the front and added boards to the ceiling. Some of the wall pieces are missing, because they are all pieces we have to cut to a custom size.

05

This area will be the bed room, with bunks on the right and left.

This next one is looking from the kitchen area to the bedroom. We have that half wall up to divide the room.

While I was at camp my wife’s two friends came into town. One of them has a little three month old. We got ready and went to the county fair for a few hours.

Next is a must have golf cart. Just sayin. πŸ˜€

Towards the end we lowered Everett’s stroller and he passed right out!

21

Sunday we went out to visit my wife’s dad. He has been in a nursing home for a little bit now. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a while ago and can no longer live on his own. It is pretty sad because he isn’t very old. He remembers us and Everett and loves holding him.

22

We were able to meet with his wife and their kid Remi and take him to the courtyard. The kids ran around like crazy.

The lady in the wheelchair is Lois. She has sort of been watching over my wife’s dad while people aren’t around. She came out with us and loved seeing the boys.

26

Everett and Uncle Remi are playing here with some cars on the little bench.

27

Later to round out the day and make the most out of it we met with her grandparents and brother’s family for lunch. It was at a very nice golf course in the area. They have great food and service.

28

If you have your volume on you can hear Everett slurp up his noodles haha. if you look close you can even see his top teeth! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Once we got home, we got in our comfy clothes and watched some New Girl. Everett has been looking though his legs so my wife was doing it too and he was laughing hysterically.

29

That was our weekend! We did a lot and it was, like always, worth it. I hope you had a great weekend too! I’ll see you all again tomorrow! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Around the Water Cooler!

Hey Everyone!

Yesterday was a sorry, not sorry day haha. I was invited to go to our other building, by a co-worker to have pizza ate lunch. That is something I couldn’t pass up! πŸ˜€ I wasn’t able to post because of it though. 😦

I’m back now though, and the good thing about being around a water cooler vs. coffee talk is that you can have it any time of day haha. So here we are!

Some what of a project summary for me right now would be a few things. I have been roped in to helping a local nursing home extend their network with my co-worker. We went there last night to get the lay of the land. I have spent some time today gathering a list of items that they would want to get as upgrades, as well as drew up their current and proposed network in some free software. If everything gets agreed upon we could be in there getting that project done in a month.

The gas plant project is coming along slowly. I have been ready for a week to do some work for them, and they are in the process of making me a key like I said in an earlier post. I think I have everything I need to map the segment of the network I’d be in and address the gas chromatographer.I really hate that word, it’s to large and complicated haha. Here is the little guy causing all of the issues at that plant:

Here at work we are working on starting out huge ERP upgrade. We are talking a couple milion dollars here. We will be upgrading our current system in its entirety. We are going from a company we have used for over 30 years to a completely different one. It will involve our 4 man department a ton, and will probably take a couple years to implement fully. Yikes! :S

In personal life, I hope to mow the grass tonight. My wife’s friends are coming tomorrow to spend the day and go to the county fair. In the morning tomorrow I’ll be helping build the cabin a bit, I hope to get a few pictures to keep you all updated on that progress as well. πŸ˜€

That is it for me today! I hope you all have a great weekend, and I hope to see you back on Monday! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Birthday Party!

Hey Everyone!

So Friday…

No post. I was swamped Friday. Before I walked in the door to work, I had an email saying that one of our machines was down. It turns out that it was really down and I spent, literally, the whole work day at our other plant fixing that machine.

Onward! Friday after work I came home, mowed the grass, weeded the garden, set up a tent, and chairs. The big party was Saturday! Everett will be 1 year old tomorrow, how crazy is that?!? It is hard to believe. It seems very fast haha.

Saturday came and we woke up still getting everything ready. I got all of the decorations ready. I blew up helium balloons, and tied them to the tent posts and in the front yard. We hung up a couple banners that we made the night before:

Look at that painted fence! πŸ˜‰

We had about 20 or so people there, consisting of family and friends.

Here is a nice family photo of us, once the sun came out. πŸ˜€

Everett is cheesin with his cousin Rory. (my brother’s daughter)

2

Everett received a swing from his great grandma, so he took it for a swing with his Grandpa Fred.

3

A couple of my wife’s best friends came down to hang out with us, which we appreciated. That was before the chaos of the party haha.

7

10

Here is my wife and her dad. It was nice that he was able to make it down to the party.

11

We ate some great food, and then opened some gifts. A few people contributed to Everett’s 529 college savings plan, which is amazing. I’m so glad they decided to help in that way. He got a few books, and plenty of outfits. His grandma got him a kiddie pool and some stuff for that too. Here he is holding his first pair of shades.

4

He looks pretty cool to me!

8

Who you lookin at?

9

Next up….cake! Patiently waiting..

5

Moments before, I lead “Happy Birthday” on my Ukulele. then the cake was there for the playing!

12

He slapped it apart. He loved squeezing it in his hands before smashing it into his face.

6

Overall it was a great day for the party, everyone that we thought would be there showed up. Happy Birthday to Everett!

Sunday was a little busy as well. Friday my cousin stopped by and asked if I could help him deliver his jeep axles to a garage. I had softball as well. Well, softball got pushed back two hours due to rain, so I could only play one game. We lost the game to a team we hate losing too but we will meet them again later in the season. I got work that the second game went much better and we beat them by the ten run rule.

I ran home and changed my clothes and had some left over party food before helping my cousin. He basically needed someone to help physically move the axles. They are pretty heavy. Everything went smoothly and we didn’t drop them on our feet haha.

That was my weekend! I hope you had a great one as well. I’ll be back again tomorrow, I hope to see you then! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Weekend Travel!

Hey Everyone!

It’s Monday again, Blah! Other than that things are going pretty well. Our weekend was fairly successful. Saturday morning we got up and hurried to get ready. We left the house around 9am so that we could make our appointment at 11am with the modular home people. It was very overcast and rained most of the day but held off while we were walking through the lot of homes. We learned a ton of things from the sales rep, who was very nice by the way. We narrowed it down to the specific building company we liked and the styles we liked. Once we were done with the touring part we sat down in his office and went over more details and other floor plans.

With that done and over with we headed to her grandparent’s house for some lunch. My wife’s friend came over to see her as well, since we don’t make it back very often. You can see everyone on the floor playing with Everett.

20180127_143215

Not a great picture, I know, but I have to be sneaky haha. No one I know other than my wife knows I even blog remember.

We were supposed to ask if her grandparents would help us by putting a house down for us on their land, and allow us to buy it once ours sold, but my wife never posed the question. That being said they are still all for us moving back. I spoke with her grandfather at some length about it. He just wants us to weigh all our options. Little does he know, we kind of have haha. If we had our way we would be back tomorrow. Most of the process would be determined by timing. We would either have a house to go to or not, we would sell fast or slow, I could find a job in a month or six, ya know what I mean? So once the ball gets rolling we would like to have as many constants as we can and knowing that we would have a place already would be awesome. I don’t know if that will happen or not.

Later that day we met with my wife’s friends for an early dinner. One of her girlfriends is getting deployed for the first time to Afghanistan. We surprised her at this local bar and had a nice time.

Sunday we stayed in for the most part, I went and grabbed some groceries, while my wife cleaned the house a bit. Everett was enjoying his ball pit.

This one is a week late but Everett is over 8 months old now and getting really fun to play with. He is still a little guy for his age as far as charts go but he will catch up just fine.

What a ham! Every time you point a camera at him he smiles right at it. His mom has him trained haha.

I was able to squeeze in some gaming time as well and I have reached my highest rank ever in Rocket League Solo play! In Solo Doubles you can see I’m Platinum II and in Solo Threes I am Platinum I for the first time. I’m pretty excited about this since I haven’t played as much as I normally do. It was a welcomed surprise.

That was my weekend! I hope you all had great ones as well. I’ll be back tomorrow, and I’ll see you then! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Christmas #2, #3, #4!

Hey Everyone!

This is going to be somewhat of a picture post, since it was super busy this long weekend. I hope you had a great holiday weekend. Well We better get this started!

Sunday we celebrated Christmas #2 It was with my wife’s grandparents, her mother, and her sister. They made the trip even though there was supposed to be a big storm. Thank fully we didn’t get much of it. Side note, speaking of storms check out Erie, PA. I live about an hour and a half from there and they got record breaking amounts of snow this weekend. like over 50 inches in two days. Wow!

Everett is hanging out with his great grandma and her nice boot, in this first picture.

20171224_113355

Later we decided to get the party started and do some gift giving. We, of course, needed a picture of our baby in front of it all. A little drooly but still cute!

20171224_140134

Although he really doesn’t know what is going on, and only wants to eat everything he touches, it still looks like he was pretty excited. He knew this wasn’t a normal day.

20171224_140320(0)

Have you ever seen a 7 month old so excited to get a couple of DVDs?!?

20171224_140426

Opening gifts with his mom and grandma they decided it would be best for him to wear a ribbon until he could find a nice hat!

20171224_141259

Once he found a nice hat the ribbon was replaced and all was well within the baby world.

20171224_141441(0)

I’m not sure he knew how to conquer this next tower of gifts.

20171224_141708

The rest of the day was spent catching up with one another and having a nice meal. It was nice not to have to travel back for Christmas for once. His aunt got him this nice Teddy Bear and it was a challenge to get him to pose in anyway with it. It was his veryΒ  first Christmas morning, and Christmas #3 was held by just the three of us. πŸ˜€Β  He was trying to eat the tags and bow the whole time. haha.

20171225_084052

Later that day we prepared for Christmas #4 with my side of the family. Thankfully they only live one city block away. Before we left we tried to take a few family selfies, if anything they are memorable.

20171225_160144(0)

My two brothers, my parents, sister in-law, niece, and brother’s girlfriend were all at my parents house as well. Here is my dad feeding Everett his bottle.

20171225_184323

We again had a nice meal and were able to catch up with one another. We also had the Steelers game on since the rest of my family are Steelers fans. Makes sense right? I’m the odd one out. We loaded the car at the end of the night and headed home. We had our first Christmas experience as parents and I would say it was a huge success. We will have to do it again sometime πŸ˜‰

I forgot to mention the boy got a ball pit! At first he was pretty terrified and I almost passed out blowing it up, but he came around and so did I!

Lastly here is my baby boy hanging out in his crib yesterday as happy as could be!

signal-2017-12-26-124656

Again I hope you all had a great weekend, and were able to spend some time with your loved ones. If it is as bitter cold as is it here, bundle up and stay safe. If not, well…I’m jealous haha. Have a great day! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Coffee Talk!

Hey Everyone!

It is 8:05 am and I am starting my early morning ‘Coffee Talk’ off right. I just had my first cup of coffee and I am ready to end this day! haha.

I get a nice four day weekend and a ton of family time this weekend, so the quicker this day goes the better. That being said today won’t be a bad day by any means. Here at work they are having an ugly sweater contest, that I failed to enter. :/ I know, I know. I was late to the game and tried to find one last night. I went to five different stores and failed each and every time. Maybe next year. We are also having a Christmas luncheon. Most departments in our company agreed to bring in certain items and we will have a nice lunch.

I’m guessing my day will be pretty lack luster. Not may people like to report any issues on a Friday, and definitely not on a Friday with a long weekend. After lunch my wife will be bringing Everett into the office. He came in when he was just a month or so old, and I have had some requests from some employees to see him again. She works a half day-ish today so she is bringing him in.

Speaking of Everett, he is exactly seven months old today! It is hard to believe, I know, but it is true. He is sitting, rolling, and working on crawling and standing. To be honest I see him standing and walking before he crawls haha. He has mumbled a few things that sound like words, and has started to gnaw on some solid foods.

What are your plans for the holiday weekend? Are you doing any traveling? How many people are you going to see? Do you have any fun holiday traditions? Let me know in the comments below.

Remember I will be back Wednesday the 27th with, I’m sure, a giant weekend update. I’ll see ya then! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Long Thanksgiving Weekend!

Hey Everyone!

It has been a long while since I posted. I was off for a whore four days! It felt like forever in some ways and in others it seemed like no time at all. Thursday we spent the day with my family and had a traditional lunch/dinner. For the most part it was a good time. We ate and stayed a bit later to watch a football game. The only hiccup came during that lunch/dinner. My mom, despite being told multiple times not to, tried feeding our son real food. We both told her not to around the same table and she sat right there and did it anyway. Who does that? So I had to yell at her right then and there and take my kid away from them. I’m not really sure what would go though her or anyone’s head in that moment that would let her think it was still OK to do?!? We were understandably furious and it took about every ounce of energy to not pack up our things and leave right then and there. It was over as quick as it happened and we moved on with our day. Here was the nice table setting and my parents village.

IMG_0703

After lunch we sampled some fancy fruity beer. My dad got this from a friend of his that passed away. It wasn’t a gift or anything it was just in his refrigerator when they all went to pack up his stuff.

20171123_141002

It was really good. I guess it is kind of pricey so I will probably never have it again but it was yummy. The rest of the time there was spent watching the game and watching the kids play.

20171123_141341

My mom made that ‘Cars’ blanket for Everett and he likes all the colors in it. Here is my niece playing with some blocks. She likes to give them to people over and over again haha.

IMG_0706

She has developed quite the mullet, that you can see in the next picture. Also my older and younger brother.

IMG_0723

We got home somewhat early and decided to whip out the large coloring book. My wife brought it from my parent’s house, since some of our stuff is till over there. We are slowly getting it all out. Any way here is the one I did. My wife never can finish one haha.

IMG_20171123_203233_185

That leads us to Friday. Friday we got up early and headed to my wife’s mom’s house. Once we wrangled everyone up we ate. Here is a picture of our nephew Carter and my wife’s grandfather Francis.

20171124_131854

We ate another traditional Thanksgiving lunch/dinner, and headed home.

20171124_143459

20171126_160040

Saturday we were supposed to celebrate my older brother’s birthday, but we changed that to Sunday. We were also supposed to go pick up a leather couch for our house, but the lady who was giving it to us was sick. That will wait for another day. So, pretty much all day Saturday I laid on the couch with Everett while Jordyn was editing wedding pictures from the wedding we shot in October.

Sunday we went back to my parents house and met again with everyone on my side of the family for pizza and wings to celebrate my brother’s 35th birthday! Oh course we had ice cream cake from DQ to follow. He brought his new girlfriend, which is nice, because he is in a much better mood. He gets down about life easily and having something or someone in his life helps that. It must be getting serious because he is bringing her around a lot and he met her parents, so you know that is a big step.

Anyway that was my weekend, all in all it was a great way to spend my time off. I hope that we can all get and stay healthy the rest of this winter, fingers crossed. I’ll see you all again tomorrow! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Coffee Talk!

Hey Everyone!

Welcome back to coffee talk. I remembered to do this again haha. I was sitting here sipping my coffee and it hit me that it was also Friday! So while you all wake up, check your blogs, and sip your coffee or tea we can talk.

I have been trying to figure out what this segment should be, and I think I have somewhat figured it out. I’d like to put myself in the situation that I was at a coffee shop with a friend. From there what would we potentially talk about?

Today I’m thinking Netflix. While we have our coffee in front of us, lets talk about our favorite shows. I am currently watching Cleverman, it is Australian based, and it pretty weird. It isn’t scary weird just a bit weird. It is about “Hairy People” and “Normal People” As if that wasn’t enough, the main character is the Cleverman, he can access the past and future. I have been working my way through the 14 seasons of NCIS as well, that is a loooooong haul! Some of my favorites have been Stranger Things, Atypical, Black Mirror, Dark Matter, The Office, gah there are so many!

What have you all been watching? Do you even watch Netflix? Maybe you have Hulu, or Fire TV through Amazon, maybe? Maybe? haha. Let me know!

My wife and I are shooting a wedding tomorrow so we will be getting the cameras and drone out today after work! Very Excited!

Hit me up with some comments, and I’ll be back Monday with a weekend update. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Homecoming Weekend!

Hey Everyone!

This weekend we traveled back to our Alma mater, for their homecoming celebration. We both met and attended the same university so we like to go back when we can. This weekend was homecoming. We left in the afternoon Friday, and checked in to our hotel, soon after. It was getting close to dinner time so we set out to find a place that wasn’t packed to eat. We didn’t want to go anywhere that there was a wait, since we had Everett with us. We ate at the local Quaker State. I had a decent steak sandwich and loaded fries, and a 22oz. Yuengling.Β  We couldn’t really go out to the bars, which is traditional on those kind of weekends, so we hung out and did a few things in the city before heading home. My wife and I are taking pictures for a wedding this weekend, and she normally rents a better camera. This time she is biting the bullet and buying the one she wants. It is expensive but worth it, since she is just trowing that money away renting it a few times. The local Best Buy ordered it for us and it should be here before this weekend. Just in time for the wedding. Our last stop was the book store and then back to the hotel.

The next morning was foggy as you can tell from the view of my breakfast table…

20171014_072029

It would soon go away and be a beautiful day. We were in contact with one of Jordyn’s friends and met up with her at the parade.

20171014_111812

The parade was super hero themed and kind of fun. It isn’t like it used to be but it was still fun.

20171014_112225

20171014_112306

This next one is a pumpkin catapult. Later that day they go launch a bunch of them in a field.

20171014_112535

20171014_112733

Like any function from our university it is accompanied by the sounds of bagpipes!

20171014_122846

We took time for our friends that stopped by as well. We also needed a family picture, of course!

20171014_112419

20171014_123418

This is my old roommate Zoser and his little baby Emma. We came to school the same year and I had been friends with him for a few before we lived together. I don’t see him as often as I would like.We both had kids, I think less than a month apart. It was a surprise to see him and awesome to catch back up with him.

20171014_123706_001

I met up with another roommate and fraternity brother too. We lived together for a couple years before I moved in with my now wife. He now lives in Maryland so I don’t see him much either, He has invited us to come down and someday, sooner than later, that would be cool.

After the parade we left to come home. There really isn’t much more we could do there with a baby. We grabbed lunch at Perkins when we got back home because neither of us wanted to cook haha. I was able to cut the grass and we cleaned the house up a bit and caught up on laundry.

Speaking of laundry we had a guy come “repair” our washer and get parts for our dryer. Everything was great until we tried the washer again. It still isn’t spinning all of the water out of our clothes. I have yet to call the guy, because he is going to get a hold of me later for the dryer anyway. That will just be more time off from work that I am quickly running out of for the year. None of this is the guy’s fault of course it just sucks that it didn’t work. It’ll pan out in the end.

Sunday we stayed lazy at home. I was able to finish my Warcross book. It had some nice twists and turns toward the end. It does leave you wanting more. I was able to predict a bit more than I would have liked to, and I did find two instances of things not lining up. That can be overlooked since it doesn’t really change the story line in any way. I hope she comes out with her 8th book as a sequel!

That is all for me today. I am here bored at wok for another four hours haha. I’ll see you all tomorrow! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Nice Night To Go To The Dam!

Hey Everyone!

I was planning on going home after work and just cutting the grass. Sounds pretty boring right? My wife called me just before I left and asked what I was doing after work. She suggested that we go for a walk at the Kinzua Dam. I told her that I wouldn’t pass up an opportunity to do something with our family for cutting the grass haha.

Once I picked him up from daycare and got home, we got him ready to go!

20171010_164538

It is a little hard to get a picture of a baby that keeps moving, my apologizes haha.

We took off and made our way there. We went to a spot that wasn’t as much hiking, but rather a leisurely walk with some pre-made stairs and what not.

20171010_172318

Once you get closer to an overlook you can see the reservoir beyond the trees.

20171010_172432

Lastly you are greeted with this amazing view! This is a beautiful place anytime of the year. It is always worth a visit. We come here as often as we can, when we remember to actually do it lol.

20171010_172528

Of course with any small day trip you need a few family photos. It was very bright, as you will see. It was clear and sunny.

20171010_173347

We tried again back in the woods to get away from the direct sun light and we managed to get him to look and not cry haha. That is a win win if I’ve ever seen one.

20171010_174854

I love my little family and taking trips like this. They are the most important things in my life and I would be lost without them. The trip was great and was a much better way to spend the evening. πŸ˜€

Tonight I have a Masonic 3rd degree. It will take most of the evening and be late. It is the longest degree and the last degree to become a Master Mason. It will be fun, we are hoping a few of the NY guys come down to see it done our way.

This weekend it our Alumni homecoming and we will be going back for the festivities and to see friends. I’ll keep you posted! I hope you have enjoyed today’s post and I’ll see you all tomorrow! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€
