Monday Photo Dump!

Hey Everyone!

Welcome to the start of the week! We did quite a bit this weekend. Friday we went to Pizza Hut with my parents for dinner and Everett was being a normal goofball.

Saturday morning we headed back to the cabin. We are hoping to have the beds in before the start of the hunting season. We added stairs to the front and added boards to the ceiling. Some of the wall pieces are missing, because they are all pieces we have to cut to a custom size.

This area will be the bed room, with bunks on the right and left.

This next one is looking from the kitchen area to the bedroom. We have that half wall up to divide the room.

While I was at camp my wife’s two friends came into town. One of them has a little three month old. We got ready and went to the county fair for a few hours.

Next is a must have golf cart. Just sayin. 😀

Towards the end we lowered Everett’s stroller and he passed right out!

Sunday we went out to visit my wife’s dad. He has been in a nursing home for a little bit now. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a while ago and can no longer live on his own. It is pretty sad because he isn’t very old. He remembers us and Everett and loves holding him.

We were able to meet with his wife and their kid Remi and take him to the courtyard. The kids ran around like crazy.

The lady in the wheelchair is Lois. She has sort of been watching over my wife’s dad while people aren’t around. She came out with us and loved seeing the boys.

Everett and Uncle Remi are playing here with some cars on the little bench.

Later to round out the day and make the most out of it we met with her grandparents and brother’s family for lunch. It was at a very nice golf course in the area. They have great food and service.

If you have your volume on you can hear Everett slurp up his noodles haha. if you look close you can even see his top teeth! 😀 😀

Once we got home, we got in our comfy clothes and watched some New Girl. Everett has been looking though his legs so my wife was doing it too and he was laughing hysterically.

That was our weekend! We did a lot and it was, like always, worth it. I hope you had a great weekend too! I’ll see you all again tomorrow! 😀 😀

Gender Reveal & Playground! (Pics & Vids)

Hey Everyone!

We had a pretty exciting weekend, with a lot going on. I’m proud to say that I took pictures and videos of all of it. Go me! Saturday morning my wife’s went out of town with friends and I took Everett to my brother and sister in-law’s gender reveal. They were announcing the gender of their second child, they already have one girl. It was out at a hunting camp in the woods. Here is Everett holding a pink balloon, I guess we know what his guess was! 😀 (Sorry it is a little blury but he was on the move)

Everett and his cousin Rory played on the floor while we waited for everyone else to arrive and eat.

Here is my brother holding Everett.

This one is a funny comparison. Everett, Rory and Pepper the 2 year old Great Dane haha 😀 😀 (Both of their Great Danes were there but I only caught the one)

On to the more exciting stuff! Here is the box my brother made to reveal the gender. Inside of this box was Tannerite, and on top of the Tannerite was a bag of colored powder. My brother’s goal was to shoot the Tannerite through the box and have it explode the color all over the place. (For those of you unaware of what Tannerite is you will soon find out.)

Here is the video I took. ( I set my phone on a chair and backed up haha, I wasn’t that close) (SOUND ON)

By now you know they are having another girl haha. Here are a few pictures I took after the reveal.

We set Rory up on the stump, she’s a cutie!

We finished the afternoon up there and had a relaxing evening at home, once my wife was back.

Sunday started like any other, lazy and sleepy. I was trying to get a few games in, before Everett woke from his nap but that didn’t last too long.

My wife had him downstairs after that and she sent me this picture haha, that hairdo! 😀

It was nearing 3:30pm and we were experiencing some cabin fever, so we decided to take a walk. It was about 43 degrees F, but the sun was shining.

We were going to walk our normal distance, but liked being out in the fresh air after being cooped up all winter. We took Everett, and our dog, about a mile down the road to the local playground. This was his first time at a play ground. He was able to enjoy his first time on a swing. 😀

This, of course, followed by his first time on a slide! 😀

He did enjoy both, but wasn’t sure what was going on at first. We had successfully had a play date at the playground!

About half way home again the poor little guy was all tuckerd out!

We stopped and saw my parents on the way home, since they live a city block away from us, and headed home. We had some home made burgers and beans for dinner and watched a little March Madness before going to bed. Overall it was a very pleasant weekend. We can’t wait to get outside with him more now that he is a little bigger.

That is all for me, I’ll see you all again tomorrow! 😀 😀

Quick Weekend Update!

Hey Everyone!

I’ll have to be quick today. I have a dentist appointment right after lunch haha.

I randomly got this picture in a group text from my grandmother. They stay down in Florida during the winter and apparently dress up like this for some reason lol.

They stay healthy down there and have fun. What ever floats their boat is ok with me. 😀

Everett had a play date, kind of, on Saturday. My wife’s co-worker came over to get pictures done of her daughter, and when they were done the kids just hung out. She is a month younger and just as big as Everett. They look to have had a good time though, at some point they lost their clothes haha, not sure for what reason. Cute either way.

I think there is some young love blossoming here 😉 We had a couple fires in the fireplace this weekend, and watched the Olympics when we could. I saw some of my favorite, Curling, and Biathlon. I missed the men’s snowboard, but saw the women’s. It is so fun to watch all of these athletes compete. I’ll continue to watch what I can.

In other news I found a really cool Pixel Art game on my phone.

You can find it here on the app store: Here!

Here on android: Here!

That is all for me I hope you had a great weekend! I’ll see you tomorrow. 😀 😀

Homecoming Weekend!

Hey Everyone!

This weekend we traveled back to our Alma mater, for their homecoming celebration. We both met and attended the same university so we like to go back when we can. This weekend was homecoming. We left in the afternoon Friday, and checked in to our hotel, soon after. It was getting close to dinner time so we set out to find a place that wasn’t packed to eat. We didn’t want to go anywhere that there was a wait, since we had Everett with us. We ate at the local Quaker State. I had a decent steak sandwich and loaded fries, and a 22oz. Yuengling.  We couldn’t really go out to the bars, which is traditional on those kind of weekends, so we hung out and did a few things in the city before heading home. My wife and I are taking pictures for a wedding this weekend, and she normally rents a better camera. This time she is biting the bullet and buying the one she wants. It is expensive but worth it, since she is just trowing that money away renting it a few times. The local Best Buy ordered it for us and it should be here before this weekend. Just in time for the wedding. Our last stop was the book store and then back to the hotel.

The next morning was foggy as you can tell from the view of my breakfast table…

It would soon go away and be a beautiful day. We were in contact with one of Jordyn’s friends and met up with her at the parade.

The parade was super hero themed and kind of fun. It isn’t like it used to be but it was still fun.

This next one is a pumpkin catapult. Later that day they go launch a bunch of them in a field.

Like any function from our university it is accompanied by the sounds of bagpipes!

We took time for our friends that stopped by as well. We also needed a family picture, of course!

This is my old roommate Zoser and his little baby Emma. We came to school the same year and I had been friends with him for a few before we lived together. I don’t see him as often as I would like.We both had kids, I think less than a month apart. It was a surprise to see him and awesome to catch back up with him.

I met up with another roommate and fraternity brother too. We lived together for a couple years before I moved in with my now wife. He now lives in Maryland so I don’t see him much either, He has invited us to come down and someday, sooner than later, that would be cool.

After the parade we left to come home. There really isn’t much more we could do there with a baby. We grabbed lunch at Perkins when we got back home because neither of us wanted to cook haha. I was able to cut the grass and we cleaned the house up a bit and caught up on laundry.

Speaking of laundry we had a guy come “repair” our washer and get parts for our dryer. Everything was great until we tried the washer again. It still isn’t spinning all of the water out of our clothes. I have yet to call the guy, because he is going to get a hold of me later for the dryer anyway. That will just be more time off from work that I am quickly running out of for the year. None of this is the guy’s fault of course it just sucks that it didn’t work. It’ll pan out in the end.

Sunday we stayed lazy at home. I was able to finish my Warcross book. It had some nice twists and turns toward the end. It does leave you wanting more. I was able to predict a bit more than I would have liked to, and I did find two instances of things not lining up. That can be overlooked since it doesn’t really change the story line in any way. I hope she comes out with her 8th book as a sequel!

That is all for me today. I am here bored at wok for another four hours haha. I’ll see you all tomorrow! 😀 😀

Birthday Weekend & Ingress Meetup!

Hey Everyone!

I have a few pictures here to help me tell you about my fun weekend.

Friday My wife took me out for an early birthday dinner at the Still House. We wanted to do something alone since on my actual birthday we spend it with family. I got a nice moonshine cocktail with dinner. I think it was black cherry shine, with unfiltered back berry juice, mixed in some sort of sprite or 7 Up. It was delicious either way. My diet/healthy lifestyle took a back seat this weekend. I had a very good black and blue burger with pizza logs that night.

Saturday I took my time getting up, but was still up by 7am with my baby. I eventually got ready for the day. We had our annual Ingress picnic, in Kane Pa. this year. I made sure to get a corny ‘about to be on the road’ picture for you all haha.

I made my way to Kane to meet up with the other members of the Wardens of the PA Wilds crew. We had eight people there this year. There was supposed to be a few more of us there, but little things pop up in life all the time. We met in one of the local parks, where we would do most of our game play later in the day. We soon left and went to Bob’s Trading Post for some pizza, and to wait for the other crew members to join us. I had not ever been to the trading post, but the food was delicious, and the outdoor seating was great for a nice day.

The rest of the afternoon was spent playing the game around Kane and basically stocking up on all of the gear we could need in the near future. Over all the day was a success. The weather held off, the people were great as usual, the food was spectacular, and we did what we went there to do! 😀 I can’t wait until the next meet up.

Later that day I took a drive with my wife and baby. With Ingress still running through my veins, I wanted more. We drove out to a few scenic locations, while I blew up a few links and fields. But while we were there we took in some of the sights.

That was a great way to close out the day.

Sunday morning I woke up with this little guy.

It was also my 29th birthday! Woo, getting older!

I had my coffee and Everett and I watched some Longmire on Netflix. I didn’t have much time because our first softball game was at 9am. I pitched both games and made a few really nice plays from the ‘mound.’ We won the first game easily beating them by 10 in the 5th inning. We had a one game wait before our next game, so we hung out and watched the other game.

The second game could have been very close, but we managed to keep our defense tight and our hitting average. We beat this team by 10 in the 6th, with a score of 20 to 10. So two convincing wins on the day, as well as decent weather. It did rain, for like, one inning then it stopped and got humid.

Later that day after I got all cleaned up, we headed out for my birthday dinner. Every year on our birthdays we get to pick where our family goes to eat. It is a nice tradition that has been going on for years now. I chose to go to the Forester. It is a small restaurant in the middle of nowhere. In the forest, go figure! Here is the little man in his flannel:

I ordered the Flat Iron, which is a 10oz. piece of beef, with a side of perogies and veggies. Before I could do anything about it, it was gone….

It was too good to not eat right when I got it. Afterwards we all went back to my parents house for ice cream cake! My niece Rory is pretty much interested in everything so here they are hangin out.

We also decked her out with my older brothers hat. It doesn’t quite fit but she kept it on longer than we thought she would.

That was a great way to round out the weekend. Once we got home it was pretty much straight to bed. I am still at work alone for the next two weeks, so we will see how this goes! Wish me luck.

I’ll be back again tomorrow, I hope to see you all then. 😀 😀

Can I Be More Tired (Short post)

Hey Everyone!

Last night and today have been pretty slow days. I jolted my memory a bit on networking and subnetting while here at work. I helped a couple guys with their printer as well. We will be getting them a new Ethernet enabled printer to better suit their needs.

I have let a few more people at work know that my wife is pregnant, they are thrilled. I have received a ton of hand shakes, and congratulations. It really keeps a person excited. I will be going to inform our nurse right after this, if no one has told her yet.

Christmas is coming soon! Here at work we have a lunch with all the employees. Our department is in charge of getting a huge fruit tray this year. It will cost about eight dollars per person. We also get free turkeys from our employer. They do this each year so that families don’t have to go get turkey for the next year. This year I will give mine to my wife’s grandparents so that they don’t have to buy one next year.

Damn I am tired.

Things at home are slowing down finally. We still have to paint the wall around the giant hole, and run the electric cable in the basement. Soon we will have it all done. I have to go get quarter round to put along the hardwood floors and the baseboards.

I have misspelled about every word in this post, so I think I’ll keep it short and end it here haha. I’ll leave you with a couple of Asian babies dressed as noodles.

I’ll be back tomorrow, c-ya all here again then! 😀 😀

Dinner, Parking, & Being Productive

Happy Hump Day!!

Last night we were invited to a casual pizza dinner at a good friends house. She is married with a baby. Her brother and his wife were also there, he is also a good friend of mine. They have twin 2 year old boys. I think of that whole family as my second family. I have known then since I was five years old. I was with them most days from 5 to 18 years old. We got there right about 6:30pm and got right to dinner. All three of the kids were running around and having a great time. There was plenty of things for them to play with. My wife and I hadn’t been in their house yet so this was the first time. We didn’t take any kind of tour, but we did see a good portion of the house just being there. It was nice and spacious. This dinner was a good way to break up the monotony of everyday life. We all get stuck in a rhythm and patterns, and rarely break out of them. It was nice to see them and their kids. We were able to catch up on life and enjoy ourselves. We plan on doing this more often since we had a great time.

This morning and I guess all week, we haven’t been able to park in our usual lot at work. They are in the process of repaving it. This generally isn’t a big deal. Yesterday I apparently parked in a ‘No Parking’ spot. Someone called me and let me know. I guess I was parked in a spot that can sometimes block big Mac trucks from pulling into our garage bays (whoops). Again it was no big deal but it was kind of funny. I got down there and moved my truck in a matter of minutes, but its funny that we lost so much parking yet no one is really affected by it.

Today has been a good day. Not only is it the middle of the week, but I have been productive all day. It is a great feeling. My co-worker isn’t here today, and that isn’t even why I’m busy. I have been setting up a couple of new PCs for a few guys in the shop, I was able to figure out why I couldn’t get AVG for business running on my PC, I started setting up a third PC for a girl who will be starting next week in our HR department, and have been running around all day putting out minor ‘fires’ for people. In the mean time while cleaning all the technology out of a retired mans office I found his speakers. So instead of looking goofy with a make shift, one ear, headset I have speakers for the first time in my office. I also have a big fraternity paddle leaning on my wall that has gotten a ton of attention. It is the only decoration in my entire office. I would like to have a plant of two but I don’t have any windows to the outdoors. I might need a cactus or even one of those desk ecosystems. Anyway I’ll talk to you more tomorrow.

Have a great rest of the day! 😀 😀
