Today, and partly yesterday, we have been trying to get everything back to ‘normal.’ We had been gone for a week. We were two time zones away, eating, and sleeping was all out of wack.
At least for me, I have had two great nights of sleep since we have returned. We are still sleeping on a futon mattress in the Everett’s room to get him used to his crib, but better sleep still! I finally woke up today feeling somewhat rested, after I got moving a bit.
We have had to catch up on our mail, our cleaning, laundry, dishes, yard, and a variety of other things. I have taken care of a few bills, and have caught up on my work emails as well. It has been just one giant game of catch up, but I think I’m winning. haha.
We have also had to reintroduce Everett, to better eating habits, and back into his daycare setting, this since he was only there a week and then we left. It is taking him some time but he will be back in the swing of things soon. Speaking of Everett he had his one year check up and did pretty ok. He is just at the bottom of the growth curve for height and head circumference. His weight on the other hand is not great at all. He lost weight since his last check up. He still only weighs 18lbs! We have tried just about everything we could, so we are now trying to supplement him with some Pediasure, if he likes it. He is getting whole milk and real food, but I think the problem is with the fact he still doesn’t have any teeth. I think once a couple come in he can really tear into some good protein and what not. I’ll keep you updated.
In other news, I have some of those photos from our stop in Nebraska! Enjoy:
