Truck Stuff

Good Thursday afternoon everyone!

I had a pretty boring night last night. Not much going on at all, besides looking at a couple of houses. We are still very much in the market to buy but we haven’t found what we wanted in over two years. The houses we do like are just a bit over budget.

On the topic of my truck, I want to paint it still of course. But before I do that it is time for an oil change. Not just any oil change, but a vehicle saving change. I will be using full synthetic oil from now on and performance filters from K&N. I think 5W-30 weight will be best. I have mostly changed my oil myself unless I was way to busy, so it won’t be a big thing. It shouldn’t take me very long and that is good because I am going to the gym after work with my brother. I won’t do anything because I am lazy but I’ll be there. So at about 5pm I’ll head to Auto Zone and pick up what I need. I may even buy the rest of the paint needed for my truck. I would expect to be done by about 6pm. the longest part will be buying the stuff and draining the old oil. I want a good drain to get as much of the old stuff out as I can.

I have a battle raging inside me. I am debating on whether I would want to raise my truck or lower it. I may also just leave it alone. I don’t want to put too much money into it since it is old and it isn’t something I want to keep forever. I ideally wantΒ  a 4×4 truck or SUV. That is less than 10 damn years old haha. That way I know when I mod it that I will have it for a while. If I can I may save this truck fora long time and use it as a beater once I get a different vehicle. This is assuming that no one at all would want to buy it when I’m done with it. So at that point it would be literally worthless to everyone but myself, for sentimental reasons. Part of the reason I don’t want to raise it is that it isn’t 4×4 and has like no power, so whats the point. the opposite is true with lowering, but I live where it snows and I would be afraid of getting stuck in the snow with no ground clearance. That is why leaving it alone would be the cheapest and best option. hmmm I guess I talked my way through it…nice! Never mind about the dilemma. Anyway that is about if for today I’ll fill you in more tomorrow!

Have a great one! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Exhaust System: Chevy S10

Happy Hump Day!

I was super excited to leave work yesterday to start working on my truck’s exhaust system. I have a 200 Chevy S10 2.2L, LS with an extended cab. It is just a little guy but that doesn’t mean it has to be super lame. As you might remember, I am in the process of finishing the paint job. Well the parts came for the new exhaust system so I had to jump on it.

I got it from Summit Racing, you can find them here: summitracing.com . It was basically a four piece set. There was an adapter that was supposed to fit on the existing pipe and then widen to fit the muffler, the muffler itself, a bent pipe to go over the back axle, and the back tail pipe. It also came with four clamps and two hanging brackets to fasten it to the frame. Everything was well and good. I got home and pulled it in the driveway. I first laid out all the parts under the truck to see where I needed to cut the existing system off at. Once I figured that out I tried cutting it with a hand saw, but that was very slow going. I eventually found a sawzall with a metal cutting end on it. Mind you I didn’t have the truck up at all it was just on its tires. I had to cut it with one hand, but it still worked better than the hand saw.

The next thing I had to do was fit the adapter to the existing pipe. Sounds easy, unless they are the same damn size, lol. I tried grinding the adapter down to fit snug in the pipe but it was a no go. I thought I was stopped dead in my tracks. I was going to head the the local Auto Zone and see it they had any ideas. This was a fun ride because I didn’t have a muffler at all. This damn 4-cylinder sounded like a huge diesel truck! They adapted my adapter, so I grabbed the pipe I needed and another clamp and headed back home. It wasn’t more than $12, that is a good buy. When I got it all home I cut the pipe to size and fit it all together. I tightened the clamps enough so that they would hold straight and not move too much. The next step was adding the muffler and bent piece. This was the next challenge, since I had to find a way to mount the bracket to the truck and have it in the right spot for the pipe. I was able to use an existing hole, which means I didn’t have to get the drill out. The bracket was generic so I had to give it a 90 degree bend at the correct height to get in in the right spot. Once that was done I had to fit the tail pipe to the bent pipe with another clamp and bracket. Again, I was able to use an existing hole with the new hardware, making it somewhat easy. This one I did not have to bend at all, but I did have to angle it so that it didn’t rest on the leaf springs. I then went back through it all starting at the adapters and straightened it all up and tightened it all. I made it as tight as I could with hand wrenches, which seems to be doing the trick. If I can I will make a short YouTube video just showing it and the sound.

Speaking of the sound, it is prefect. It is a little truck so it doesn’t have to sound like a monster. It is a turbo muffler and they are larger pipes than the stock system so the sound is deep and bold. It sounds healthy if that makes sense?!? At an idle it can be heard from in the cab with a window down. If you rev it in park or neutral it gives a pretty good kick but nothing loud enough make people go deaf. It is a great mix and fits the vehicle well. It didn’t come with a tip and to be honest I don’t know if I am even going to get one.

For the future of the truck I would like to replace the lights, redo the brakes and calipers, then start working on engine performance. Eventually I want some bigger tires and rims but for now I’m OK, plus I need to finish the paint job. I have plenty that I can still do so I won’t run out of projects for a while. On top of that I am a scatter brain so I won’t even be on an automotive kick in a matter of weeks. I’ll be on to another interest and head back to it later haha. πŸ˜€

Well I hope you all have a great day and I’ll see you tomorrow!

NC Weekend

I’m back!

As you know I went to NC with my wife to visit a friend. We left Thursday after I got out of work, about 5pm. It was about a ten hour drive, and we got there about 3:30am. Pretty spot on if you ask me. The ride down was not great, besides driving though the night it rained. It didn’t rain a little, it rained a lot. Like, a lot a lot. I would say that out of the 620+ miles it rained for a solid 400 miles. Regardless we made it down in one piece and were pretty tired. We got to our friends apartment only to find that she was nowhere to be found. Yes, at 3:30am. Her ‘boyfriend’, another friend of ours and her all decided to skinny dipping in the pool. So we were in her apartment alone, but we did find the air mattress and the drunk ‘Marine’ on the couch.

* Disclaimer/Rant/Clarification*
It was a town littered with Marines and retired people, of which I have zero issue with. The so called Marines that will be mentioned in this post make me embarrassed for our country, by the way the carry themselves in public and in private. Also, by the way they think and act. Nothing about these people was respectable. You can quickly tell they didn’t like being told what to do and they would rebel at the first chance to feel like they do have control over something.
Don’t get me wrong I love this country and the people who serve it, but these guys make me sick to my stomach, when I think that people from other countries interacted with them and now have them as a picture of what American military looks like. I would like to think just these guys were like that but I know that isn’t true either. :/
Just like every other person out there, I don’t know what any of them have ‘gone through,’ if anything. Either way its no reason to act like they did on a daily basis.
I won’t be bringing them up much in this other than this part just because it instantly angers me all over again.
*Over*

We were shook awake when they all got home about an hour later, soaking wet. Needless to say we didn’t sleep well that night. The next day we all went to the pool and hung out all day. It was the two girls we went to see, my wife and I, and the two ‘Marines.’ We met up with a really nice guy who was also a friend of the girl we went to see. He went with us the next day to all the shops. We went out to a bar that Friday night and just had a few drinks, with good conversation. I was the DD so I didn’t drink. That way the girls could catch up and have fun, and I would know that they were all safe. We got back to the apartment at like midnight and again we had an altercation with one of the ‘Marines.’ It again ruined the night. He wouldn’t listen to the apartment owner, us or his friend. He was drunk, obnoxious, and rude. We had someone come and physically remove him from the apartment at 1am. The next morning he came back to look for his wallet. After that, thankfully, we never saw him again. Oddly enough the rest of our trip was great. This probably isn’t a coincidence.

Saturday we went in early to a local coffee shop and had a great time. From there we hit up all the other local shops and bought a few things. We found a ice cream place with homemade treats. We ate at a great military themed spot for lunch. I had a really good blue cheese burger. Of course I played some Ingress while I was there and got my silver badge for capturing unique portals. I also made good headway on my trekker badge, for distance walked. That evening we went to a rooftop restaurant. The food was so so, the service was shit, and the view was amazing. XD So I guess all and all it wasn’t bad. Later we headed back to the bar from the night before. Again just having more of a social time. We got back about the same time as the night before. We went to bed and Saturday was history.

Sunday morning we woke up and made breakfast. We got our gear ready and were heading to the beach. It was about 50 minutes away from where we were staying. Once we got to the beach we setup our towels and chairs and headed into the water. It felt great. The sun was out, there was a breeze, and the water was a perfect temperature. The one thing that could ruin it in the first five minutes was a shark…..SHIT there was shark!! I’m not a shark expert by any means but it was one. The two girls and I quickly got out of the water. You could just see the fin up and out of the water about 20 feet away from us. It was crazy, we were just talking about how attacks have been up in the past few years, and then we saw one. We stayed out of the water for a couple hours and then braved up and got back in. We stayed for a good 4 hours and headed back to get ready, and go to dinner. For dinner we went to another local seafood place. They had fishermen catch most of the food fresh, and you could tell. The service was great, the food was great, and the atmosphere was perfect.

It was our last night there so we wanted to get a good nights sleep, since we had to drive ten hours back home the next day. We hit the hay at about midnight, and decided that we would get up at 7am and leave. Everything was great until the fire alarm for the whole building went off at 3:30am. We couldn’t believe our luck haha. We went outside and hung out in the parking lot. The fire department took a good 20 minutes to get there, which wouldn’t be awful if it weren’t for the fact that they were right across the street. In total it took about an hour before they turned the damn alarm off and let us go back in the building. We grabbed a couple more hours of sleep and then had to get up. We all said our good byes and loaded the car up. the trip home was long but, it always seems faster. The weather was much better than on the way down so that was a plus. We got home about 6pm and put our crap away. We cuddles our pets and had a relaxing evening with my family and the “Bachelorette.” Later tonight I will be attempting to put on a whole new exhaust system on my truck so I’ll let you know how that goes tomorrow.

Have a great Tuesday everyone! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Exhaust, & Farewell For Now

Happy Thursday people!

I got home last night and took a look under my truck. There was a lot more room under there then I had thought. Like, you could sleep under the bed no problem. Anyway back to why I was under there in the first place. I was scoping out my current/stock exhaust system. Along with painting the truck with bed liner I wanted to change out the exhaust system. For one reason the muffler has a hole in it and is rusting out, and the second reason is because it will be something I can do on my own. I haven’t done a modification like this before but everything I have seen has been fairly straight forward, since I will be going with a bolt on system. Since I also don’t have any damn money, I bought a budget system from Summit Racing at http://www.summitracing.com . If you are interested the part number is SUM-680030. It is not a a ‘true’ cat back system but its damn close. If I went with a name brand and a true cat back it would cost me $500+, whereas this one is $160. Again, since I will be doing it myself there will be no labor costs in sight. To install it I’m going to need to cut the intermediate pipe right after the Catalytic converter. I will first have to lay out the new system under the truck to know where to cut it off so I get the correct length. It will utilize a couple of adapters then head right into the muffler. The one I bought is a turbo style, which I’m hoping will be a good quality sound, without being obnoxiously loud. It is a tiny 4 cylinder after all. I saw that the mounts are welded so I will have to find a way around that. I might have to drill a few holes and use the mounts provided. That won’t be too hard. The current system is all welded so once I take it off the mounts and cut it the whole thing will come out in one piece. From there I will install the adapters, then then muffler. Next the remaining pipes just slide on and get mounted and clamped and I should be good to go. I am not sure if my spare tire will be in the way or not but if it is I’ll just take it out.Β  At some point I would like to paint the stock rims with the same bed liner. The only thing that will take a long time is taking each tire off one at a time since I don’t have a lift. I would spray them when they are on but I don’t want to spray the brakes.

As you all should know I will be leaving work today, and grabbing the rest of my stuff. The wife and I will be driving to North Carolina to spend the weekend with our friend that lives there. She will be moving to Arizona, I think, at the end of the summer. We will be there for two nights and we will be home Monday. As I stated in a previous post, I will not be posting Friday or this next Monday for that reason. I will tell you all about it Tuesday when I am super tired and sick of driving haha. The weather sounds like it will be OK so we shouldn’t run into any weird driving conditions. We are going to hang on the beach and go to some beer festival in the area. We will also be sleeping on an air mattress and that is about all I know. So I hope you all finish the week strong and head into the weekend with a smile. I’ll see you all Tuesday! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Truck Bed, Blood Drive, & Thoughts

Good Wednesday afternoon.

As you many of you may know I left work early yesterday, partly to enjoy the nice weather and to paint the sides of my truck bed. I have a 2000 Chevy s10 so it is a relatively small job. What makes it kind of a pain in the ass is that I’m doing it all by hand. That doesn’t mean an electric hand sander, it means a piece of sandpaper in my hand. It takes so long to get the paint scuffed up enough to apply the paint. It is very rewarding though, it makes me proud to look at it and know that I have logged so many man hours painting it. I have focused on more random parts of my truck than any other vehicle I have ever driven. The only thing left to do is the door sides, and front bumper. One more ‘session’ and it should be all done. As a reminder I am painting it with a rough bed liner. It is a matte finish with a rough finish that protects the vehicle from dents and dings. It took me about 4 hours to sand down the two sides, clean off all the paint dust, paint it, wait, and put on a second coat. Since I am using a spray can and since the paint is rough and goopy, I have to make sure that I use all of it because if I don’t it will most likely clog up. So what ever was left over in the last two cans I used to touch up spots in the actual bed and on the grill.

Today at work we had a blood drive. I have given blood many times before so this isn’t anything new for me. I was all set to go at 10:30am and even had a conversation with a co worker about how I hope I don’t forget to go over at the right time. Well once I was 20 minutes late I got paged by our nurse haha. I got caught up and totally forgot to go. It was all OK I just went over late and did everything like normal. Everything went off without a hitch. My levels were good, and so was my temperature. They made sure I wasn’t infected with that sweet Zika virus and I was off to the races. It only took about ten minutes for me to fill the pint sized bag. The needles don’t bother me but I still don’t like to watch them jab me. I grabbed some snacks afterwards and headed back to work. Which didn’t take long since it was in the building across the street. If you are able to give blood and have no real reservations about it you should. It really doesn’t take long and generally doesn’t hurt. The feeling that you get from knowing that you personally have helped or will help dozens of people is an amazing feeling.

As far as my thoughts for to day go, I am on an automotive kick. I still want to use my ukulele more, camp more, game more, etc etc. But for know it is working on my truck. Part of me says don’t bother it is 16 years old and have 90,000 miles on it. But the other part of me says it still may have 60,000 more miles in it, and you love that thing. So on top of finishing the paint job, I think I want to lower it and swap out the exhaust system. I found a kit that is $160 to replace the exhaust, and I want to do that myself for the experience. As far as the lowering, I may leave that to the pros. Further than that, which may be years or never since I am tight for money, I would like to get new tires and rims. This is almost all cosmetic, but I would also like to try modifying any small thing I can with the engine or intakes and what not. I went through an automotive class in school but never perused it further, which I regret sometimes. I love working with my hands and making things better. Who knows how far I will get it. I know that soon I think I may have children and a house of my own so I know that my options are limited, but at the same time I may end up with a different vehicle entirely. Anyway have a great Hump Day and I’ll see you tomorrow for the last installment until Tuesday. Byyyeeee! πŸ˜€

Quick One

Hey everyone!

I haven’t really had much go on between yesterday and today. On top of that I will be leaving work at noon today. I have been painting my truck for a year or two now. It has been hard to find the time. I have been hand sanding parts at a time and painting it all with bed liner. It looks awesome and all but it needs finished. I have the sides left to do, and today is perfect to finish the bed sides. So that is what I’ll be doing. Last night I finally broke down and played CS:GO for the first time since Overwatch came out and……..my god I’m bad again. I knew I would be and that’s why I didn’t want to go play it yet haha. I had to up my mouse sensitivity to even be able to hit anyone. It was pretty rough. I also got kicked out of the last casual game I played for not getting to the bomb before they defused. Even though it was 1 vs. 5, oh well that’s casual CS for ya. That is all I have for you today, It was a quick decision to leave early so I wasn’t prepared.

P.S.

I broke down and bought new molded cleats for softball from http://www.boombah.com they have the best gear for great prices.

Have a great Tuesday!

Disapointment? Picnic & Father’s Day

Monday, Monday, Monday…..

Not going to lie I am not feeling very productive today. At least my fingers are nimble enough to get this post out. πŸ˜‰ I have my Pandora on and kicking out Linkin Park Radio, trying to stay awake.

Friday we left in somewhat of a hurry to get to the “Thurston Classic”,Β  a hot air balloon gathering in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Everything was starting at 6pm and that just happens to be about the time we pulled in the parking lot. I was pretty excited to see them all take off , since I had seen the in the air before but I was never able to be there when they took off. Afraid we might miss the take off we hurried to the inside of the park. My wife and I had a pretty heated argument about how best to get in, not good. We did however make it in and found her family already sitting in a good spot to catch the launch. To our surprise we hadn’t missed anything yet. We sat patiently, waiting for something to happen. At this point it was about 6:30pm. It was hot at about 82 degrees, the sky was blue and there was next to no wind what so ever. You would go out and do absolutely anything in this weather it was perfect. Soon after the 6:30pm mark a voice came over the speaker saying that they want everything to be perfect, yada yada yada, and that they weren’t able to launch yet. They would check back in in a half hour. Well, 7pm rolled around, and it seemed like an eternity in the direct sunlight. Again a voice came over the speakers saying that it was still to windy. They had let a small party balloon go and they apparently watched it with some weird telescope, and saw that it moved too much, so they couldn’t start…..Β  They again said that they would check back in in a half hour, not that they would start at that time, just that they would look again. Well that was enough shit for me. We got up and left, with plenty of better things to do before the night was over with nothing to show for it. As far as I know they never left the ground and the whole thing was a bust. It was the nicest weekend to date, but It wasn’t good enough for the ballooners <<lol. So that was somewhat of a disappointment, since that was part of the reason we came out that way. We stopped over at my wife’s dad’s house and saw his new baby. Later we got some ice cream and all was right again in the world.

We woke up Saturday morning and got ready for the company picnic. It was a short drive from where we were and we arrived at about 12:30pm. Aside from parking on the wrong end of the amusement/water park everything was great. My company had a pavilion rented and we checked in. We received all access ride and water park passes to use all day. We met up with my parents and ate lunch. Soon after we hit the water park. We rode a slide or two and then went to the new wave pool for the first time. It was awesome we stayed there for a couple of hours, just bobbing up and down with the waves. It reached 90 degrees so the cool water felt amazing. We, of course, had to take a lap around the Endless River tube ride. Following that we laid out and dried off before heading back to the rest of the park. Next, we hit up the train that goes around the park, which is always fun and brings back good memories. We got done with that and didn’t want to go back to the pavilion to eat yet so I used that time to drag my wife around and played some Ingress in the park. There were quite a few portals and I have the opportunity to cap a few unique portals and make some small fields. Then it was time for dinner and bingo! Dinner was so-so. We had baked chicken, hot sausage, hamburgers, and hotdogs. It came with sides and drinks, but it was just lack luster in taste. We started Bingo soon after and I though like normal I wouldn’t win anything with that many people there. Low and behold, about four games in I won! My prize was a very nice Maglite flashlight, batteries included. πŸ˜€ It was a ‘love your neighbor’ game so the people to the right and left of me also won $5, what can I say, I’m a giver. Later my mother won a Shop-Vac. That was it for Saturday we went home and relaxed.

Sunday morning came very fast. It was Father’s day. But before that my brother and I had two softball games in the morning. We played a pretty bad team then a much better team. We were a man down leaving us with only three outfielders instead of the usual four. We didn’t let that hinder us though. Softball it a hitters game and you have to score to win. We beat the first team pretty easily and then it was on to the second one. They were beating us most of the game. We finally took over the lead just to lose it again the next inning. In the last inning, the bottom of the 7th, we needed 1 run to win and I was up. With no outs I knew I needed to get to at least second base, that way if there were fly outs I could tag up and advance. I hit a line shot to the fence and didn’t let up. I got a triple. I was scoring no matter what, there was no way I wasn’t getting in after that. But to my surprise the next batter up hit it out of the park and it was an was an easy jog into home. It was hot and long but we came away with two more wins. I got home and showered up, since I was probably pretty gross. In that time my older brother arrived and we all met up in the back yard to celebrate Father’s day. We just had a simple cookout once my other brother and his fiance showed up. Later we got the golf clubs out and had a chipping game around the yard with wiffle golf balls. The three of us brothers went in and got my dad a trail cam for his new property and three flags for his house. One was Penn State football, another was Pirates baseball, and the last was Steelers football. Being a Texas sports fan I made sure not to hold the two black and gold flags haha. My wife and I watched the first Deathly Hallows movie before bed and that’s all she wrote. It was a great weekend, I can’t wait for this weekend either. We will be traveling to NC to see a friend. I’ll see you all tomorrow! πŸ˜€

Made It Till Friday

Hi-a!

Last night I played some more Overwatch, waiting for my wife to get home from work. But in better news I picked up my Luna ukulele and finished learning “You’ve got a Friend in Me” by Randy Newman. You know, the song from Toy Story. It is really fun and a bit challenging. There are some weird chords if you aren’t used to them but other than that the strumming pattern is pretty easy and its at a normal speed. Very comfortable. I love that damn uke and take it everywhere. I just have to make sure to play it. I have to remember to make the time. Being that it is something you have to work on and being something that takes time, you can always find an excuse to do something easier. Anyway I am very pleased with myself, as this will be the first FULL song that I have learned. To be honest now that I have been playing it more I would like a better ukulele. This one was $100 straight from the Luna Guitars website, and isn’t up to snuff, even though I do still love it. I have learned a ton from Barry, at http://www.gotaukulele.com and his amazing reviews. He shows you what to look for in a uke and points out things that you probably wouldn’t think to check. If you have the time and are interested check him out! I recently bought a new case for it from Guitar Center, I think its a Road Runner brand…I think. It it awesome as well the sippers are heavy duty and the bag is very sturdy.

Right when I leave work today I will head home, change my clothes and leave with my wife to go to the “Thurston Classic” in Meadville Pennsylvania. It is a hot air balloon event. They all take off tonight at 6pm, so we are going to meet my wife’s grandparents there and watch them. Hopefully it stays nice out and I hope that we get there on time. A few years ago her grandparents had one land in their backyard. By the time we got back they were in the process of packing it up, but we got to talk with them for a little bit. I’m not really sure what the draw is for wanting to be a hot balloon-er? but they are neat to watch that is for sure. It will prove to be a great time, I’m sure of it.

Like I had mentioned in previous posts my company picnic is Saturday. I again hope that the weather is favorable, since it will be outside and at a water park. We will have food served, all access to the park rides, and Bingo games for prizes. It is really cool that my company provides this experience. I have grown up with it because my dad has worked here as well for 35 years. So from experience it is memorable and something kids and adults alike look forward to each summer. It will be a pretty packed weekend.

Sunday I will finally be able to make it back to a set of softball games. The last one I couldn’t make due to the camp outing in Ohio. and the two before that got rained out. It feels like I haven’t even been on a team. We have this weeks games, Then I will miss the next ones because we will be in North Carolina. Then after that there are only two more weeks and then the end tournament. So in total I will have only made eight regular season games out of a possible fourteen. So a bit more than half, If I keep being this busy I may not be able to play every summer. I will gauge that at some other time though, because I do love softball.

I hope you all have a great weekend, I know I will. Byyeeeee!

Why Do This & Stuff

Hey there!

I seem to be running out of life content and things to put in the blog. This is partly due to the fact that I have a pretty normal life. I get up and go to work every morning I am there for at least 8 hours a day, and then I come home. This only leaves aboutΒ  5 hours of the day that are free to me, most of which isn’t free to me. I do chores around the house like a normal person. I cook dinner, I feed the animals, I take a load off, and get my things ready for the next day. I also spend time with my wife when she doesn’t work late. So turn that 5 hours into about an hour and that’s about all the time I have to have life experiences. This is mostly 5 days out of the 7. The other two can be somewhat exciting with new things going on, but most of the time they aren’t either. All summer I have softball on Sundays, so there goes most of 1 whole day. The other day, Saturday, is generally spent with my wife and us debating on what to do. A lot of the time since we are always busy we just like to relax. That doesn’t make for great content either. I feel like sometimes I just talk about the same stuff, and that wouldn’t be a false statement. It is however my life and what is going on in it. If it is unchanged and not exciting, then so be it. I would hope that it was OK to be normal and have a daily grind. I just wanted to reflect on that a little bit because right before I started writing this *minutes ago* I debated on even posting today since nothing other than Overwatch game play has happened since I posted yesterday. I can sum it up in one sentence. Ready? “Yesterday I left work, picked up a pizza, and played Overwatch for 5 hours.” Done! That was my whole evening. I debated on whether or not to post anything for that very reason. I quickly realized that just because something amazing didn’t happen or that something terrible hasn’t happened doesn’t mean I don’t have any content. Sure it is repetitive but again its just my mundane, sometimes interesting life.

So yes, I did play Overwatch for 5 hours yesterday and It was OK. I also did have some bad ass pizza from Pizza Hut. Unlike normal, my Team Speak friends were online last night, which is part of the reason I played so long. most of it was just with three others but towards the end we picked up another guy who was friends with my friend. This was the first overall team experience I had had playing Overwatch. Sure we didn’t have a full 6 man team but it was interesting to see if/how the game play would change knowing that 5 out of the 6 of us were talking with each other. To make a long story short it didn’t help. It should have, but it didn’t. No one announced their ultimate abilities and we didn’t coordinate anything. We still played like a free for all and got pissed at each other for doing stupid things with bad timing. At the end of it all we are still all great friends, but it does start to bother everyone when we can be soo much better than we tend to be. I would love to get on a 6 man team and have a defined role and communicate well. I would love to see how the dynamic of the game changes. I have yet to catch a pro match, since before yesterday I didn’t know they were occurring. I will look up an old one and watch it as soon as I’m done with this.

Tonight will not be much different. I will be in charge of dinner and feeding our pets. I will probably play Overwatch and nothing else for the remainder of the evening. I can tell you that tomorrow after noon, I will be the only person in my department. So I really hope nothin blows up. πŸ˜€ I again as always will keep you posted, and shit for not having anything to say I think I filled up the page quite nicely πŸ˜‰

Have a great Thursday and get pumped for the weekend.

P.S.

-This weekend I have a company picnic at a water park, and the weekend after we are going to NC. woo!

Got In Some Games

Afternoon all!

Quick update, still haven’t got the Linux file server working. I actually think I broke it?.? Oh well that will be for another time. I went home and was pretty productive. I did two loads of laundry and tossed the dishes in the dishwasher. So feeling pretty good I played some Overwatch. I ran threw about fives games and did well as a single person. As a team meh…. it was so so. It was me getting 27 kills with Widowmaker and about 5 deaths, followed by us not winning ever. That was the theme for the night in Overwatch. It was OK though since my individual play was great. I can’t wait for the day, which I heard was late June, when they introduce competitive play. I realized that since Overwatch has come out that I haven’t literally played any other game. I also hadn’t been on my clans Team Speak server either, since its not needed and I’ve been playing alone 😦 I have been in TS a few times and played with a few of my buddies, but our schedules never seem to line up, since some of them are in Europe and some are on the western parts of Canada.

I decided to play some GTA V which lasted about ten minutes. I quickly switched to Rocket League. I thought I was going to play horribly since I hadn’t played in a month. I seemingly got better. I was playing defensively as to not piss anyone off by being out of position. I was scoring from behind the center line and taking huge shots and making big saves. I took a break after about six games and ate some pizza. Which is never a bad idea. To prove that fact, I will buy some tonight because I already don’t feel like making dinner and since my wife won’t be home until about 7:30 and cold pizza is still super awesome.

All and all it was a good gaming night. I didn’t launch CS:GO on purpose. I don’t want to be sucked back in yet. If I play different FPS games in the same time frame I lose all ability to get kills. I don’t know why that is but it is true. So I will be sticking with Overwatch for a while. I mean I have like $1000 worth of skins in CS:GO and it is still my main game with over 1600 hours of game play. I just needed a break from it and Overwatch is the break I needed. Anyway it was a good night.

Today at work I received the PCs that I had ordered a while back and I have started setting them up. I ran into an issue with the user though…go figure. I have his PC joined to the domain and I went to log him in and he gave me I don’t even know what. I got random strings of letters, dashes, and numbers. None of these worked and now that I have re asked him 3 times I have no response. So if its not a big deal to him i doesn’t bother me haha. There really is no time frame for these PC to go out so I’m not in any hurry. It just makes me laugh at the simple things that hang up the process. It almost never is anything technical it always seems to be user based. That’s about it everyone I hope you have a great hump day.
